There is someone I know that was on that ship. She was in my life and we are concern for her and her aged mother. She has had such a tough life since the tsunami that stuck the island. They have suffered too much. Any suggestions on what we can do to help them will be appreciated. My family is trying to help. but we don't know how.

I can only recommend bringing this up to an authority (perhaps emailing the dept of immigration) and acting as a character witness, or otherwise raising this issue in public.

Awesome. Thanks all for the help? NOT

I have better things to do with my time, thanks for the suggestion.

I will though say this. You all believe the media?

I know someone very well on that ship. I heard they are ok, that the Canadian gov have to respect them, but if you read the links, most of it is BS, now, that is media for you.

She and her mother, told my father before they left, from Thailand, NOT elsewhere. The Cpt of the ship made them each pay 30+ USD for the ride. The unfortunate male who lost his life was because there was no food, and terrible conditions on the ship. And this is the truth. Media is BS.

Oz pushed them away, this girl. She has suffer. Thanks to the Tamil Tigers, she was with me then. Once when her father got slashed and disabled. Her bother kidnapped by the tigers, they lost everything. She came into my life as a servant.

She woke me up crying, as she got wind, her father got shot 3 times, once in each eye, and once in the forehead. So the gov here do not help them. Awesome. Just keep thinking how you can spend tax payers money on more ridiculous issues, instead of the life you can save.

No you think, as outsiders yourself, you have rights... puh-lease
