Samsung "No backflip has happened"

Are you kidding? While this is a draft, in the draft is the results of the study that between 3000 and 7000 gigalitres of flow are required to restore the river, and that the lower figure is the absolute minimum.

To achieve this requires about 37% cuts to the water allocations. Julia's bunch has "set up a committee to review the economic impact" and could "amend the Howard government's Water Act if it prevents him from protecting rural economies in the Murray-Darling Basin."

On what planet does this look like commitment to the policy?

Labor's promise is being kept IN FULL.

The promise was to implement the recommendations of the Murray Darling Basin Authority *AFTER* community consultation; the recommendations of the Authority are just that "recommendations". These recommendations are NOT the final draft. The complex and lengthy consultation process is now happening AS PROMISED. When the plan is finalised , after community consultation, it will be implemented AS PROMISED.

Nice "spin" you have on the truth Shadow Minister, but your posts here are pure political muckraking and have nothing to do with truth or reality. Nice try.

I want to highlight the author of this thread has other posts Worth noting.
One infamous one says Gillard can not be trusted, because she changed her mind.
In debate or general discussions both sides should be open and prepared to hear the other sides views.
This author is not such a person.
Such threads are not placed to Begin a discussion.
They exist to trap the likes of me in to a slanging match.
I truly regret the loss of great posters and think we all can do better, I let myself down by responding to Shadow Minister.

Shadow Minister the Spin Meister for the Coalition.

Got to admire his/her persistence if nothing else but sometime one has to look in the mirror and the view might not be so pretty without the rose coloured glasses.

Belly,

While women are proverbially allowed to "change their minds", breaking election promises, and reneging on agreements puts one firmly in the camp where one's word cannot be trusted.

The promises she made that are of no consequence she has kept, but the ones that really matter, for which require strength of character she has broken or is indicating she will, such as:

No Carbon tax,
Stick to MBA recommendations,
Discount state taxes to the miners under the MRRT.

Considering she has only been in power for 6 weeks, she can have all her promises broken by Xmas.

I said some thing in another thread that fits Shadow Minister.
At a time Labor is not looking good conservatives seem intent on looking worse.
Two regular posters have it down to pat.
It worked too ,in the last election with assistance from Labor fear and promises hardly likely to be kept won back nearly enough votes.
It will always bring some chooks in to the shed in fear of phantom Fox's.
No real need exists to support a confrontational combative policy.
Julia Gillard is not Labors savior.
She is barely keeping Labor people content.
A fact that can not be ignored is Abbott's polling proves he can not win while being propped up by silly policy's such as this threads blindness to reality.
Bill Shorten, this country needs you.
Watch SM turn that spud in to a pumpkin.
