At last the US Federal Drug Administration has approved a treatment for hypotrichosis. You can read about it here:

Write to your member of parliament and tell him you want it on the PBS ASAP!

I love this world.

No longer will people have to suffer with 'inadequate or not enough lashes'.

You know, I think it might even be a human rights issue.

This is what I was referring to before when I was critising capitalism and its focus solely on profits.
Capitalism values profit over all else.
If there is more profit to be made in satisfying a vain womans need for long lashes than there is in feeding hungry children, then competition brings us in feverish haste to supply the former, whilst cold charity or the poor law can supply the latter, or leave it unsupplied, just as it feels disposed.
And the apologists for capitalism would have you believe that letting poor children starve while fulfilling the sick desires of the wealthy is the most efficient way to organise society.
What rot!

It's a flow down effect. Eventually starving kids in Africa will have the miracle of long eyelashes too.

What's your alternative Mikk? I'm gonna regret this...

PS: Please keep it to the distinct objective of long eyelashes. Not everything is about starving children in Africa you know.

Tis disgraceful StevenLMeyer yet no surprise given the States and many peoples fascination and obsessiveness with their outer physical bodies and features.

Guess it wont be long before Australian Health approves the surgery. Whats your point Steven? That the funding will be coming out of Australian taxpayers pockets to send over to the U.S?

May well be some men and/or carpenters who line up to enjoy cosmetic surgery to thicken or darken their eyelashes [to protect their eyes against dust and timber shavings], or perhaps people wearing contact lenses, to protect irritations in the eyes. Or may be, replacement of lashes for people who had them plucked out after they are born with ingrown lashes [such as myself]! Thankfully mine grew back.

Do not concern yourself Houellebecq: I am not playing victim, this is yet another fact amongst many I contribute to on OLO!
