Hi Fletch...
well.. this is amazing, you are starting to sound like... heaven forbid... MEEE :) For all those who keep on kicking into me.. THIS bloke and his ilk are the ones who will do the 'mean things' I'm always on about. Fletch.. the shaping and moulding of youth in a religious context can be beneficial AND/OR detrimental. It all depends on WHAT is being taught to them. Hence your example. Keep looking mate.. its out there.. takes quite a while for all the pieces to fit into place. Its most difficult when one approaches a religious subject from a non religious background (I think that's you right ?). As for me, I see pretty quick where ugly truths are avoided by Muslims and I simply cannot comprehend why intelligent women embrace Islam when it says so many bad things about them. http://www.prophetofdoom.net/Feedback_Muslim_Woman_Defends_Oppression.Islam But that woman in the link seems to be ok with that. The more I see of Islam, the Quran and haddith, the only challenge I have is LIMITING the volume of material which is vile and unbelievable. There is even one Quran verse about if a man has a slave girl who is forced into sex by another man, Allah is suddenly very forgiving Qur'an 24:34 "Force not your slave-girls to whoredom (prostitution) if they desire chastity, that you may seek enjoyment of this life. But if anyone forces them, then after such compulsion, Allah is oft-forgiving." God help the slave girl who is 'hot'.... Posted by BOAZ_David, Friday, 19 January 2007 8:29:31 PM

Indeed Boaz. I am surprised that there is no feminist response to any of this. Just when the kitchen is hot: silence.
Much of the abusive sentiments to women are similar to the abuse imposing violent notions to children. The last thing we need in Australia is having youth groups funded by taxpayers, training young people to be future terrorists. Kids who could be as stupid as David Hicks, getting caught up in all this rubbish. He gets the blame and others far more dangerous walk away laughing. I don't think I say this with any religious bias. We have two dangerous clerics insulting our culture. This abuses the trust offered in multiculturalism. Now it is rubbed back in our faces in contempt. If David Hicks is still in gaol, we start to wonder why these two clerics walk on silver carpets. Our authorities walk nervously on eggshells. Fear will be the downfall of the west, not terrorism itself. Posted by saintfletcher, Saturday, 20 January 2007 12:00:55 AM

We can find so many threads that alowe us to show our concerns about these matters.
But why can we not find evedence the goverments truely care? I am from left of centre Labor, and not for a second hide my concern at how far Pual Keiting went to inflict one of these men on Australia. And at the time David Hicks was taken in to costody you would find me firmly in the serves him right faction. However not now, can some one better at research than me find out what happened to the young American Talaban fighter dragged out of the rubble at the time Hicks was caught? And while the west must one day fight these biggots Bush has proved to be the best help they could have. All sins and all wrongs do not lay at the feet of the left many do but GWB might just as well have been on the other side. Posted by Belly, Sunday, 21 January 2007 7:08:19 AM

Dear David,
I never thought I would say this to you, but thank you for putting the link on this page to "prophet of Doom". I started to read the words about the Qu'ran's wisdom of the treatment of women. Than I read on to the words of the Ayatollah Khomeini. I them went and vomited and retched in the toilet ! These people and their religion are sick! It is curious that some Islamic women identify themselves as feminists. I wonder how they would explain this section of the Qu'arn that David has shown us. So full of curses, plots to kill, and excuses for revenge. The whole thing appears to encourage violence. Can someone give evidence otherwise?
The ethics of the whole thing is perplexing after some behave as badly as they do. They expect to win friends or influence people. Does humanity really need violence and vengence to bolster all our insecure loathings? If this is so popular, then a weakness in human nature is unleashed with no constructive outcome. Is this a religion or a cult? Now this question will make the proverbial hit the fan... Again I say I don't necessarily disapprove of Islam and I don't see myself as religious. Just like the rest of us, however, I don't have patience in an endless supply. Posted by saintfletcher, Sunday, 21 January 2007 6:54:45 PM

This to ensure that safe people, that is, those who have no record in violence, sex abuse, child sex abuse, or any major crime can cause damage anywhere influencing children.
One of the concerns about the Sheikh Feiz Mohammed is that he once worked in a Liverpool youth centre.
In his DVD propaganda banned today by the Premier: Morris Eimma, he called on children to kill other minority groups for Allah. He called Jews pigs and spat out other hateful statements.
The Australian authorities are trying to expand racial vilification laws, something I have said all along. Surely there is also a case to expand child protection certification to keep these hateful men safety from such our children. Such nasty propaganda is not welcome in this country.
