Another "fundamentalist" right wing rant by Boaz/polycarp/agir. He's NOT interested in two way discussion. The purpose of his topics are to "preach USA style far right wing religious/political fundamentalism". His methodology is to talk AT you, not "with you", all done under the "guise" of inviting you to refute what he "believes" to be facts.
It's exactly the same with virtually everything he writes on this forum. It gets him the attention he craves, and we all fall for the ploy (I'm even falling for it by even replying). It's a "game" he plays. Boaz/polycarp/agir, I know it's hard for you to understand, but God is NOT politically affiliated with you. Posted by benq, Saturday, 3 July 2010 8:50:38 PM

Shirley Brown's comments were clearly racist, in the sense used
by "progressives". That she was actually convicted is somewhat surprising, however, given that she is black. Wasn't the judge aware that only whites can be racist? Looks like some judicial sensitivity training is in order. Posted by Proxy, Saturday, 3 July 2010 9:10:59 PM

Indeed Proxy :)
Benny..if this monitor of mine gives me further trouble.. I'm going to send it back...to YOU.. The topic.. just in case it has escaped you... is this: "So, the question for discussion is "Are racial and religious hatred" laws being used as a blunt instrument for political control rather than protecting the weak and vulnerable?" This is an important subject, and you might even have a positive contribution if you can put down the GLW for a moment. C'mon...try.. there you go. Just a waste of tax payers money, and I'll tell you why. Now both are in the UK, which is a white founded country, right! Now both women have dark or tanned skin, right! so the word Coconut where they are ( in the UK ) does in-fact describe the in,s and outs of the fruit! right! I believe both the two in fact are the only one,s that can get way with it, right! So Polly, how can it be racist?
And if Iam not mistaken, The fruit is brown on the out-side and white on the in-side, but I like to think we are all red in the middle and humans in general are racist all over. God! its hard at the top. TT. Posted by think than move, Monday, 5 July 2010 1:09:36 AM

I'm struggling to find the racial hatred in this case. Certainly, it is an attack on the lady's personal integrity, calling her a sellout. It also works on an assumption that black people should think and act in a certain way, while white people should think and act in another way. But I don't think it's racial hatred - just racial stereotyping.
Is it similar to referring to somebody's thoughts or actions as 'un-Australian'? Our politicians and various other high-profile figures have whipped this one out from time to time. The phrase also works on the assumption that Australians should think and act in a certain way, while non-Australians would not. Would we call this racial hatred, or would we call it narrow-minded stereotyping? Posted by Otokonoko, Monday, 5 July 2010 9:57:00 PM

Dear Oto
you hit the nail on the head..BANG..well done. *exactly* what DOES this have to do with 'racial hatred' ? pretty much nothing. BUT...look at how the police reacted ? //A police investigation involving no less than four officers from the specialist hate crime unit, plus a civilian member of staff. A string of witnesses. Video evidence.// From WHICH unit did the police action come ? the...HATE crime unit. I find it a bit hilarious actually (in sick kind of way)..because both the participants in this were 'colored'...and the police had to choose WHICH one was the easiest target....politically. (that's how I see it) so...they chose the one who probably represents (according to their numbers people) the lower estimate of political liabilty. It would have been ooooh soooo easy if the 'perpetrator' was 'white'....that would have been a done deal. My contention is.. that 'hate speech' laws (such as out RRT) are being..or intended to be used as a battering ram against the ramparts of traditional identity whether it be British (white) or Aussie (also white. Don't get me wrong... the 'white' aspect is purely a coincidence of history..but for most of us it is OUR coincidence and we are connected to it very strongly. 3 pieces of obligatory reading to understand these trends. 1/ http://racetraitor.org/ Notice the cartoon.. (Ignatiev is the man behind the Web site.. former Harvard history professor) Notice how the dialogue between the 'confused white girl' is suddenly 'healed' with the obvious 'logic, reason and eloquence' of the site authors.. (made me sick) 2/ http://racetraitor.org/abolish.html a piece by that professor on abolishing the white race. 3/ An up to date example of this same thinking in Australia: http://www.acrawsa.org.au/ "critial whiteness studies" Now...SEE if you get this :) If a man shoots another with a shotgun.. would you expect a 'fully suspended sentence' ? http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/shootings-flag-new-gang-feud/story-e6frf7jo-1225815573974 I saw these people in court yesterday and the son Omar in the dock. Note this :) (I watched it all..start to finish..nothing was thrown) http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2010/07/05/2945272.htm?site=gippsland Posted by ALGOREisRICH, Tuesday, 6 July 2010 8:33:03 AM

Of course it is politically correct for only “whitey” to be labelled “racist”
For those of us who have seen how Indians and Africans can treat one another with such distain it is simple to see how someone of African origin can call an Asian a “coconut” and how Asians were herded up and expelled from Kenya, Uganda and other parts of Africa as part of a systematic black Pogrom. Similarly the Tamils, in Sri Lanka, have consistently made unreasonable demands for disproportionate political representation from 1930’s on, ultimately sowing the seeds for their own demise with the fall of their terrorist army. Anyone who thinks, for a minute, that “racism” is a Caucasian only characteristic, needs to wake up to yet another “Inconvenient truth” Posted by Stern, Tuesday, 6 July 2010 3:49:57 PM

Oko, Algore, Stern. What Stern wrote was the sentence I was looking for and........."Anyone who thinks, for a minute, that “racism” is a Caucasian only characteristic, needs to wake up to yet another “Inconvenient truth”
And with that, Stern......Your spot on. All over the world, humans in general need a greater understanding of not only themselves, but the adjustment for no longer one colour living in one country. Look at the American Africans and Mexicans, Chinese, and so on gangs for a instance, which concludes that turf wars still dictate our old primitive traces of some of the oldest parts of the brain. Unfortunately the human race goes at one speed, and evolution goes at another. Some where in the centre there will be a common ground in time to come. I think we are starting to see it. These two ladies of power should and do know a lot better, and this is clearly solid evidence that white humans have nothing to do with leading racism, like I mentioned, its in us all, in some degree. Britain 'racial hatred' laws are quite novel to say the least, and don't even try to investigate their 'Public Order' laws unless you have a full bottle of bex on standby.
Here is an example of where it all went....horribly wrong ?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1291639/Of-course-offensive-But-black-councillor-called-Asian-rival-coconut-REAL-victim-common-sense.html
But in this story there is another interesting element.
"compensation for the slave trade" which being interpreted into UK Politics means "Lots of grants for 'black' projects"
Top of the agenda was the city's Legacy Commission, which funds ethnic minority projects and was created in part to atone for Bristol's role in the slave trade.
One of the MP's objected to such an idea.. was it a white BNP member ? nope... was it Enoch Powell back from the grave ? nope...
Perhaps it was Oswald Mosely also back from the dead ? Nope....
In fact it was an 'Asian' MP.
So, the question for discussion is "Are racial and religious hatred" laws being used as a blunt instrument for political control rather than protecting the weak and vulnerable?
