Um, wait a second...

Australia actually is part of the Asiatic region. Sorry, it's not really something you can deny...here's Australia, here's the rest of Asia. Yep, Asiatic alright.

Of course we're politcally in step with Asia, we have to be. We wouldn't be very comfortable without these relationships. We're a wealthy country, but we're not exactly a big or powerful one. In fact, we're exactly NOT a big and powerful one. In short, it's a GOOD thing that we have good relationships with other countries in our region.

Whats the suggest here? We tell everyone else to piss off, we can take care of ourselves? What exactly is the point of that? Whats wrong with being a friendly country? We're really pushing to see how far we can take this whole individualism concept, arent we...wow.

Well spendocrat, I have news for you.
Australia is not part of Asia. Please go off and study a globe not a Mercators projection map.

When the cuffle was going on about Nth Korea's balistic missiles the
media did not understand that Nth Korea was closer to Europe than Australia. Is France in Asia ? Is Italy in Asia ?
Is Germany in Asia ? Well they are all closer to Asia than Australia.

We will be on our own not too far into the future as the free trade
treaties start collapsing. In fact we will truly be the lucky country
as there will be millions that will want to join us but they will not be able to even if we wanted them to come.
There will come a time when it will be every country for itself and no
one will be in a better position than us.

I am not "End of the world as we know it" believer but it will be a rough ride.
Hopefully we will be able to keep enough going to feed us.
