We have the labor party throwing good money after bad to fix their incompetent actions, That is tax payers money, the workers money after failed policy over and over.

This is also happening at state level with another rail plan, and guess who has to pay the compensation yet again for their incompetence, US, The taxpayer, the worker.

When will labor look at reports and take notice instead of throwing it away.
What we should do is to make the government pay for the wasted money, our money, our taxes and be paid back by their parties.

It is the parties that run this country so they want to be there well they can pay for their incompetence.

I believe that this would cut down on the pathetic actions and greed of these pollies and their parties lust for power.
Also it will make them accountable and then you would only get those in government who wish to stand and really represent their communities.

What do you think.

What I think is that we have many voters who are in 'no mans land' as, the party they voted into office is not the party they thought they had voted for and, the party they de-thorned is no longer the party that laid the solid financial foundations that helped our country get through the world financial meltdown in better shape than most.

Now while many of these voters were ‘labor voters’, there were also many who for varying reasons thought that it was ‘time for a change’.

We now have a situation whereby the sitting government is going about breaking the financial back of our wonderful nation, while those opposing seem almost incapable of winning the ‘un-losable’ up-coming election.

Believe me, it is not a pretty place we are in right now, so perhaps we should just say, ‘stuff it’, every man for himself!

Just remember. When all this ends and the guilty ‘move on’, they will still be very wealthy individuals and we will be left with a huge debt and little left to sell.

Please remember this when you get to have your say on poling day.

My guess is there will be a huge surge in invalid votes!

Perhaps it's time for the old 'none of the above' party to be formed for real, instead of just being the script for a Hollywood movie.

I think it's a shame that we don't have a few more independents standing for parliament but then perhaps we would get more senators like Fielding and Haradine and that would be more than a wasted vote as far as I am concerned.

Your right about them but then they are standing up for the people and not party policy.

Just as i did in 2007 ran at the federal election , i will be running again as an independent.

Supprising you dont see many pollies post here as they would have to run of and get a party reply each time.

You vote for the but then instead of them representing you they represent their political parties.

To many yes people and not enough people who do not make a stand for what is right.

What will i get out of it.

Thats why when i run i put my money where my mouth is, not the workers, not the peoples.

Sure on one level the the minister was, because he was at the, head responsible. The department, the businesses involved were also culpable.
As for the tag on the end of the question that smacks of political contrarianism as usefull as 1 wheeled car.

Sometimes all the money and political expediency and the overwhelming biases of the political system are on the right side. But still, if you take up the side of the status quo and join forces with the politically and economically powerful, you don’t get to don the mask of the bold truth-teller willing to speak out against ingrained prejudice. And you see this kind of thing a lot, just look at our pollies

So if you think somebody cannot stand and say what they think or do, then you world must be a dictatorship.

Where in fact it only takes one person to stand and fight, to show what can really be done.

Politics running for government is not about the money but the people and when the peole work this out, then things will change.

So you can either make a stand or live on your knees.
