A storm in an A cup is brewing, but fortunately this is the work that Canberra does best and one can imagine the wrinkled brows of Canberra's public service mandarins as they consider what new organisational pyramid (and personal job re-classification) is required to administer the A cup re-class.

Forget the economy, population and whatever, this IS the sort of serious business that a Deputy Prime Minister should handle.

There is a difference between being hypersensitive to the odd heavy handed or rude comment in an inappropriate place and Brute force ignorance/arrogance....total disregard for others.
Some things are just offensive or nasty.
In truth it's the age old question where do you draw the line?
I don't know there doesn't appear to be now or has been a definitive answer.

Regarding Barny off his banana his clearly it was an over the top stunt to appeal to the more morally insecure conservatives.
Keep in mind he is a conservative not a Liberal.
Conservatives appeal to the bush in that they want things to stay the same....status quo. my argument is that the status quo isn't that terrific.

as I said in a previous post their is plenty of porn available on SBS, in art galleries (including naked 13 year old girls) and on commercial TV, so you don't need to hyper ventilate about having a bit of restriction on this perverted industry. If you don't like Joyce so be it but surely you are so small minded as to attack someone trying to do something decent.

As some poster on the feministing site pointed out, if they are targeting child pornography it would make more sense to outlaw pics showing a lack of pubic hair. Maybe they should only approve pics for adult viewing that feature hair, or something. Idjits.
