And he was super intelligent..the average aussie voter wasnt smart enough to see that..he was the best leader this country ever had..in my time anyway ,but the pple decided to make it a popularity contest instead of voting in or out the best leader they voted in John Howard ,now how smart does that make the average voter in this country? ..since then this country has gone down the tube and that evil little worm continues to smile and lie.We should have to sit a test to see if we have the intelligence to lodge a well considered and informed vote based on fact.

But no… the thought of ‘that person’ being in any way attractive is just oow oh uh arrgh repulsive!

You know, he was right though – we DID have to have a recession, because of the stupid way we go about things that promulgates the boom and bust cycle.

So what did he do about it? He tried to boost the whole show in order to give us an ever-bigger economy, without thinking at all, apparently, about a bigger economy translating into improvements in quality of life for the average person. Indeed, the per-capita economy was not set to grow under Keating, which is surely the bottom line rather than the gross economy.

In fact he had the whole business so arse about face that he introduced the baby bonus in order to boost the population so that our overall economy would continue to grow…..without it improving average per-capita economic turnover or standard of living.

The economy was the bottom line, not our quality of life!

Wonky politics indeed! And certainly not the realm of an intelligent person who was in touch with the real world. But then he was a numbers and financially-oriented character… without a clue about science, environment or finite resources.
