No single reason. They are frequently in the news and I find their antics entertaining. I myself am a Liberal. I flipped a coin and that's the way it landed.

Now if you were to talk about George W Shrub, ok I could appreciate some humour (in fact quite a lot of laughing and crying at the same time!) in the enormous irony of such a person being the most powerful man in the world.

Dunno. But it means that the number of pollies that I in any way like is pretty small. I sorta like Ruddock, Vanstone, Gillard and ….(oh no, this’ll be my undoing on OLO)….H H H Howard !!

And past pollies – Don Chipp and John Coulter….and I guess old Gough.

I agree, Ludwig. 'Bland' is the perfect word to describe the Australian political scene.

If I had to pick a favourite, without doubt, it would be Jon Stewart. He's not exactly a 'politician' but he's a 'political figure', and someone who I admire greatly.

I suppose I would find George W Shrub rather comical if he wasn't the most powerful figure on earth. Well, once upon a time at any rate, he's killed more people in Iraq than even Saddam Hussein could boast and his influence is plumetting as even his own party distances itself. If he makes it to 2009 then I'll owe my brother $50.

I think we have a few charactors in Oz. Our Parliament has it's share of mudslingers. Mike Catlabiano has a vicious tongue and a few of the others I mentioned can hold their own.

Ruddock, Vanstone and Gillard are certainly in my top ten of favourites. Actually, better make that top 5. I don't think I have a top 10.

Yes, they don't make Pollies like Gough any more but Pauline Hanson certainly was a charactor.

I just received a call from the lovely candidate for South Brisbane Lynn Jennings who I promised to help out this Saturday. The other candidate I included was Amanda Wiklund who is an ex-military single mum and sounds like just the sort of lady we need. You may have noticed all of my choices were coalition members. If I'd included the Labour, Democrats, Greens, Gun lobby etc then I'd need to post an extra two messages.

I thought Paul Keatings devastatinlgy sharp wit fascinating...only truly intelligent people are truly funny...he was 'hot' too..very sexy..well i am a girl so thats my take..
Amanda Vanstone is revolting and nasty..Phillip Ruddock reminds me of the grim reaper and John Howard is just plain evil...Yes I think George dublyah is funny as ,but a worry that he leads America...hes evil and stupid...thats SPOOKY.

Keating was sexy?! ?!. Uh uh oh ooooh ….. oh there are just no words to describe the shock! I’ve certainly never heard anyone say that before!! And intelligent? Nope – haven’t heard that one before either. And sharp-witted? – um…..no.

Isn’t it amazing how we develop such radically different impressions of our politicians…. or maybe of people in general.
