Did you mean to write "shortages of housing", rather than "gluts of housing"?

The encouragement of interstate into Queensland and international immigration into Australia has, of course caused housing shortages here, also, whilst giving windfall profits to landlords, land speculators, property developers and various fincancial institutions that derive their income from these industries.
