“So is she a self marketing genius or just a braindead blonde?”
They say we have the cult of the celebrity these days. Be it Paris Hilton, Angelina Jolie or Brad Pitt. I do not mind. People will always find idols. These days they are called celebrities, in past generations it was Royalty and Military leaders, Horatio Nelson and Arthur Wellesley. Strangely one group of folk who one might think would be up there as heroes and celebrities are always the vilified, the politicians. Pitt and Fox, Disraeli and Gladstone all suffered as much vilification and lampooning as Howard, Hawke, Keating and Costello. Ah, what ever happened to “rubbery figures”?. I do not feel inclined to vilify Paris Hilton, nor do I envy her the “fame” she has achieved. She is some ones daughter. I only hope her parents feel as proud of her as I am proud of my daughters. My guess would be that "The Simple Life" is scripted from front to back. Why take chances?

What scares me is Google's power to obtain statistics from the future...

Sorry. I mean't 2006. My bad.
Guess where Paris Hilton is right now. Sydney. She just got off the plane at 11am. Would have arrived earlier except she forgot her passport and missed her earlier flight. Why am I unsurprised. John Singleton invited her to help promote a beer and judge a beauty pageant aimed at discovering a Bondi Blonde to advertise his cats p-i-s-s. The remarks from visitors to the article in the comments section invariable say "Go home Paris!". One of the things I most like about Paris Hilton is that she lives in America and not here. Paris Hilton arrives in Sydney. http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,20981599-5001021,00.html God help us. She plans to stay until 2 Jan 2007. No more references to her being paid a fee for picking the Bikini babe, though.
Previously, this appeared http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,20975041-5001026,00.html I have wondered what kind of visa she'd have that allows her to perform paid work in Australia. Sylvia. Posted by Sylvia Else, Thursday, 28 December 2006 1:21:05 PM

Given a choice of spending a month on a desert island with any of the other posters on this thread of Paris Hilton, I would choose Paris anyday.
I would have a laugh with her (rather than at her expense). Whilst I doubt she is the most intellectually evolved individual, I suspect she doesnot suffer the same small mindedness as any of you. Posted by Col Rouge, Thursday, 28 December 2006 2:02:36 PM

There is no doubt that many people seem to like Paris Hilton.
So it's no surprise that readers and posters to The Forum should include such a person amongst their number. That doesn't make it any less sad that people should care about a bimbo whose main claim to fame seems to be that she's somewhat rich. Oh, and famous. Sylvia. The attention to Paris Hilton probably says more about our society than Paris herself, who is taking advantage of the vacant state of our brains for gushing over her visit. She's thinking, "Wow, these people actually think I'm doing something useful", and while we invite her, she'll keep coming back. I don't think she's dumb at all, she is milking Australians' adoration of US celebrities for all it is worth. Her agent is probably also smiling pretty broadly right now as Paris will more than likely pocket a hefty sum for her visit and appearances.
What the heck, she's not the first female to flaunt her looks, it has worked for so many before her and will so often again in the future. Also, like every other international celebrity who has been here before, her visit will be forgotten in a short time. Meanwhile, Paris can keep on counting and recounting her millions and thank us for being gullible enough to think her an important celebrity. WARNING!
Please be aware that this is a phony discussion. It was created by Wayne Smith who you may know as the Bindi Irwin Cybersquatter. Remember how he bought the web names of Bindi and Terri Irwin and linked them to his sickening anti-Jewish hate site? He is doing the same thing here. The paris hilton link in the beginning post is a fake. It is a "redirect frame". If you wish to take a risk, use a computer with a whole package of anti-spyware and firewall tools installed. After clicking on the link, use the "View Source" from your browser menu bar and you will see that it is just a short script that points to the real hilton site. Posting this fake link all over the web (like creating fake Yahoo Answers and vandalized Wikipedia pages) makes the link appear high on Google and Yahoo search pages. When it gets sufficiently high he then redirects the link to his sickening filth. As he posted at the Wikipedia internet encyclopedia after being caught (he was using the name Croclover at the time): --- - "Bye bye Suckers! Time to throw you guys another bone. Seeing as you haven't even figured out my goals here. Makes it less boring beating you all the time. The only reason I told Yales at my website about what was happening here is that its too late for him to make any difference. Try googling 'Bindi Irwin'and you'll understand. Wikipedia doesn't get all that many hits to its external links on pages but is great for webcrawlers. I currently have about 340 links listed on your pages. When they get to the top of search engines I redirect them. Get it? Ta ta you morons! Croclover 02:18, 12 September 2006 (UTC)" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Croclover --- Here is a general discussion about his tactics by administrators at Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Long_term_abuse/Universe_Daily Posted by yales, Tuesday, 2 January 2007 6:00:11 AM

Google has now reported that the most googled term in 2007 was 'Paris Hilton' believe it or not. She even has her own music now!
[Link removed.]
The YouTube website is going off and people just can't seem to get enough of this talentless Bimbo. So is she a self marketing genius or just a braindead blonde? I reckon anyone idiotic enough to put a metal cooking pot in a microwave is certainly ignorant, but I'm uncertain as to whether or not she is acting.
