Whistler in a country that has a woman as head of state, in a thread that has nothing to do with women, your post is a sign of a problem.
One you have with reality.
And while xenophobia and fear is driving yet another thread into territory filled with lies we should look closely at some posters.
OK fact, some Australians are sick of boats arriving day after day.
Many if not most in fact.
Some certainly think many are economic refugees.
I come from a group who believe we can not settle them all, should not in fact.
But also in that group, me for sure, is concern for those who did not come uninvited, who sit in camps waiting and suffering.
Now have our anti Rudd anti boat people gone too far?
To say lets fire across their bow , let fate take control, even drowning if it takes that?
Yes they have, Rudd knows history will judge him and us, as it does those who turned Jews away as they fled Hitler, or sent Russians back to face murder after the war.
You and I , we are talking about real live humans, suffering people are we sure we hate them enough to want them dead?

What a pack of bastards.
Lets just send the military to Sri Lanka shall we? Lob a few missiles at them. Its obvious they are a failed state. They cant even keep their own citizens from invading us poor little aussies. We need to protect ourselves from these dangerous and scary refugees.

You people and your xenophobic, racist, bigotry make me sick. No compassion here. Australia is a country of mean, heartless assholes.
Hang your heads in shame Australia you are a f'ing disgrace.

Look on the bright side, mikk. There's nothing like 'boat people' to bring the ugliest Australians out from under their rocks.

At least we know what we're dealing with, rather than pretending that these attitudes no longer exist in our society.

I have a simple solution why not simply buy a Zodiac bundle our Xenophobes in and send them out (no guns) to discuss their views with the boat people, leave them on their own to sort it out. 10 minutes and the boat people would flee for their lives swim home taking the news of the welcoming party with them. No boat people and the wanna be defenders would be showing us all how its done.
What do you think you in for a buck or 2 for the paddles? :-)

Shadow blows the dog whistle with some imaginative story about jellyfish, and the dogs coming running into to join him. It is good to see them out in the mud, enjoying themselves.

Speaking of jellyfish, where is Horus?

And on the other hand there is nothing like 'boat people' drowning that shows how idiotic the Greens 'compassionate' policy is. IT seems Mr Howard's rednecks have more compassion than the foolishness of going soft. The current NZ Government certainly exposes the foolishness of the softly softly UN rhetoric.
