Does Rudd have the experience or political acumen to pull off the next election or is this episode just another nail in the coffin for the Labor Party?

In terms of weight if you put Rudd and Gillard on the scales they would weigh as much as the big Bomber.

In terms of political weight, we'll have to wait and see what tomorrow brings.

In terms of being good leaders...well just remember ..we have just put up with a lying rodent and his nest of recalcitrants for more than 10 years. I'm sure we could put up with Rudd and Gillard finding their feet.

Note - I refrained from making dead parrot jokes about the Labor Party.

You do have a point about the 'lying recalcitrants..' We,ve tolerated a lot of bald faced lying from this lot.

If Kevin and Julia can get up Id be willing to tolerate the teething problems, but if it blows up in their faces tomorrow I fear that Labor is now further behind..the instability has already done a lot of damage I believe.

A change of governement is essential..any stuff up now to make things even worse is plain suicide.

As already observed , it is Monday morning and Labor looks set to elect Rudd as the next leader of the Labor Party.

I have a good feeling about this..but am cautiously optimistic.
If this goes bad, it will be very bad indeed..

I have a feel , Rudd is fresh and yet untested, that is the devil of it as I see, but Labor needed to do something.

I cant help but feel a little sympathy for Beazley though.

So now, having tried a thug, the labor party have elected a hollow man. You could not get further away from labor ideals than this smug, self satisfied, condescending, twit, who is masquerading as what he thinks a labor leader should be.

I wonder which way Jack Right voted. Umm. As far as I am concerned its the same old crew. Changing leaders wont make it better. Rudd bugs people so thats a step in the wrong direction. Where on earth is Simonn? they should have left him there. Burnie Gaverns adviser has been threatening to meet with his minister to discuss the cojoint venture of HKM for two years. At least they see the sense it it. Jack Rights so wrong he should be gone. No wonder why Beazley has been in trouble. In labour you have Peter Beattie and Simon. If you had those two leading labour you might get somewhere.

In the mean time as leader for the labour party I will enjoy seeking a response from Kevin Rudd regarding his heading for the hills when he was contacted about the AWB enquiry and asked to insist the Government disclosed the AWB involevment in live animal exports.

Fair dinkim what a bunch of lossers. Here they had the best oportunity to show the public their worth by getting all the facts out to the public regarding where the kick backs came from.

Right at the very same time 60 minutes had just done their fith story on live animal exports and the public were screaming.

If ever Kevin [ whos port folio it was as shadow trade minister ] had a chance to stand up and be counted and be reasonsible it was then.

It was all there for you Kevin. You had the documents forwared to your office which showed AWBs involenent in a lot more than just wheat.
