White Capitalists should learn from Solomons and Tonga... the locals do actually get fed up with this.
The nobility would clearly be in it for the money... they always are. In Tonga, the 80% of the CBD burned out was property/businesses owned by the PM and the KING. The real danger in all this is the influence of marxist agitators. Tonga demo's had banners showing Che Guivara, so that immediately flags international socialism being involved. We saw a clear example of such aggitation in Melbourne last weekend. A fairly genuine but diverse protest day of fun was hijacked by those who wished to portray it as a 'peoples uprising' kind of deal. The Extent to which they will go, and the maliciousness of their lies is seen here: http://www.youtube.com/comment_servlet?all_comments&v=u11oBo7tzPY&fromurl=/watch%3Fv%3Du11oBo7tzPY Where, protesters attacking private property are held back by police, who are then portrayed as making an 'unprovoked attack on defenseless innocent protesters' Listen carefully to the narrator's BS. Watch and learn... and be ready to defend your country from such lying paramecia..oops.. thats an insult to the bugs. Posted by BOAZ_David, Thursday, 23 November 2006 8:56:22 AM

The beaches and the surrounding reefs are being thrown in as part of the booty .
After 2 or 3 years of seeing their island paradise get fenced off ,there are influential Vanuatans who can see obvious problems now such as beach and water access , and more serious ones ahead.
If a simple living Island people are fleeced out of their land by sharp talking speculators with great promises , there may well be ugly repurcussions that will end in Australians and other speculators being considered most unwelcome.
This would not be good for our image in the Pacific and elsewhere in the world.
One would hope the illconsidered and divisive Land Speculation Laws are changed very quickly to make future peace and happiness assured for all residents and newcomers .
