The story attached relates to the possible dumping of radio-active waste by the Brits following the Maralinga nuclear bomb tests.

What became of the material isnt fully known, but it seems reasonable to assume that the Brits didnt take it all of the way back to Britain for burial.
I think if we can (finally) say Sorry to our indigenous people for the injustices done, them then we can find the courage to say Sorry another group of people.
Australias Downwinders.
Anecdotal evidence exists that during the tests fallout went high up into the air and dumped on eastern Australia (prevailing winds at certain times of the year show this a strong possibility).
Such fallout may have gone all of the way out to sea and even further, bringing New Zealand into view.
Id like to see an open investigation, with collected medical evidence gathered from our rural communities, regarding those who may have died prematurely because of the 'bomb dusting'.
Its been many years since the tests and I think its time we approached the subject and gave help where its needed.
A mature society will look at all injustices... and try to rectify even compensate.
