If a total of up to 15 posts a day isn't enough, I suggest an urgent search for a life!

Agreed Antiseptic.
Given my current financial situation I would no longer continue to post - although there are some who would rejoice in that. Have already donated money, isn't that enough? Posted by Fractelle, Tuesday, 26 August 2008 9:55:30 AM

Fellow Human,
You aren't a pseudoname for Graham are you by any chance? It seems strange for a regular contributor to want to introduce payment (which of course would probably spread across the board if enough people were paying). Antiseptic, Here here! Posted by mjpb, Tuesday, 26 August 2008 9:57:22 AM

I'm happy with the way things are.
I certainly couldn't afford to pay for extras. Also, I think having a limit let's you calm down a bit, when things get emotional. It gives you time to reflect and perhaps re-think your response. Having unlimited responses would not be a good idea. Posted by Foxy, Tuesday, 26 August 2008 10:52:11 AM

Fellow_Human:
This is the sort of drivel that we could expect from a government body, NOT from a thinking person! If it wasn`t for all the contributors and posters,(regardless of whether they are using more than one pseudonym or not!) these Forum and On Line Opinion sites would simply become the medium for big business and political fat-cats to push their own one-sided issues and control for their own selfish interests! For genuine cross-representational discussions and opinions on the many and varied subjects, the site must be available to each and every member of our society, which it would NOT be if a fee were to be levied for participation by it`s contributors! Do we NOT pay enough now to access the Internet and the various sites, especially if you are like myself and have no option than to use a Dial-up Connection with a phenominal Download speed of 28.8 Kbps with a very regular line drop-out rate ( and so because I do NOT have Credit Card facilities, I find subscribing to anything at all a very painstaking operation, due to having to use the Snail-Mail procedure to forward payment by way of personal cheque! The Forum/On Line Opinion system seems to have worked pretty well to date so why change it? Posted by Cuphandle, Tuesday, 26 August 2008 11:36:33 AM

The 350 words / twice a day limit is good.
It forces us to think about words and use them effectively. Keep it as is. J. Kactuz PS: Good post, FH. How have you been? Haven't seen you for a while... Posted by kactuz, Tuesday, 26 August 2008 11:59:54 AM

Hi Kaktuz,
I am good thanks I just follow the comments occasionally as I am travelling a lot these days on business. Good to read from you. Hi Cuphandle, No I dont work for Graham or others I just thought it might be a fundraising opportunity to a site that we all like and appreciate. Peace, Posted by Fellow_Human, Tuesday, 26 August 2008 6:38:16 PM

Hi FH - interesting idead, but even if it was able to be enforced it would likely deprive us of the amusement of observing people talking to themselves - even about themselves on occasions - under various identities.
I find that one of the more entertaining aspects of OLO, actually. One shouldn't take these things too seriously, I reckon. Posted by CJ Morgan, Tuesday, 26 August 2008 8:50:36 PM

CJ Morgan,
Always enjoyed your rational realist approach. And I agree: it took me a month of worrying about Boazy's disappearance when I accidently realised his new identity.... Hi Polycarpy :) missed you man! Peace, Posted by Fellow_Human, Tuesday, 26 August 2008 11:02:39 PM

'instant'..... What a contrast.. when you hear of Westerners becoming Muslims.. they say "oh.. it was my 'reason' which guided me... common sense...etc" This woman's experience was like that of Paul...... We continue to pray for you.... Posted by Polycarp, Wednesday, 27 August 2008 8:59:04 AM

Wikipedia is as credible as pointing me to an article you wrote on the internet Boaz.
3 years on and you are still hot on religious debates, if it is that important to you, please go to youtube and put 'televangelists debates with Ahmed Deedat'. In the meantime and until you discover how unproductive above excercise is, my prayers for you to become a true Aussie and promote harmony among all Aussies of all beliefs. This particular thread seems to have degenerated into some sort of a "broken-down" Billy Graham Crusade!

Maybe it is an opportunity for OLO to create paid accounts for those who want to exceed their daily or words limit.
I am aware it won't stop those who want to cheat, but it provides an honest alternative for those who want to.
Thoughts?
