CARTOON COP

Not a cop in a cartoon as in Chief Wiggum of the Simpsons. Rather someone whose task it is to police cartoons.

The employer is the Dutch Secret Service.

See:

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/chi-cartoon-holland_thinkjun29,0,7168026.story

Quote:

"... authorities revealed that the Dutch secret service has established a branch dedicated solely to examining cartoons..."

In some ways this is the ideal job. You read comics all day and if you don't like the jokes you get to send in the heavies.

T-SHIRT COP

See:

http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5ho_EdpZAvqdpDrUl3A5tdvPPxCDQ

Quote:

"Lawyers say this means that anyone simply wearing a T-shirt with a slogan deemed provocative could be liable to arrest and a fine of up to 5,500 dollars (5,250 US dollars)."

This sounds even more fun than cartoon cop. You get to watch busty girls wearing provocative T-shirts all day long.

Downside is that this is strictly a temporary position. It ends after Catholic World Youth Day.

DIVERSITY ADVISER

Looks like the Tayside Police in Scotland will be needing a new diversity adviser.

See:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1030798/Muslims-outraged-police-advert-featuring-cute-puppy-sitting-policemans-hat.html

One of their current diversity advisers allowed the Tayside police to feature a dog in one of their ads, a cute little black puppy to be precise.

Not as much fun as the other two but could still be entertaining. The trick is to find ever more groups who have a right not be offended. This can best be done by combining categories;

Examples:

Gay Muslims: http://www.al-bab.com/arab/background/gay.htm

Gay Catholics: http://www.dignityusa.org/

Jews for Jesus: http://www.jewsforjesus.org/

It goes without saying that no police officer may have a "Jingle bells" ring tone on his mobile.

Think of the fun you could have on feast days, fast days and dietary laws. The canteen must be both halal and kosher and must not serve beef to avoid offending Hindus. In fact the only safe option is a vegan canteen.

The canteen should close during the fast period of Ramadan and during all Jewish fast days such as Yom Kippur and Tisha B'av.

No liquor in the nick!

If you're creative enough you could stop the Tayside police ever doing anything.

In order to make sure no clothing is worn that may offend anyone at World Youth Day, all participants and spectators should be nude.

Good thinking Steel.

On the other hand the mere holding of World Youth Day in Sydney seems to offend some people.

See: http://www.notopope.com/news.php

Perhaps it would be best to cancel WYD altogether. That way nobody who counts gets offended

The Dutch episode is a travesty of justice. How can an advocate of violence, untouched by the authorities, make a complaint about a cartoonist who is subsequently subjected to a home invasion by the thought police?

I can't believe Tayside Police are apologising for a harmless advert that a minority somehow twisted into an imagined offense.
These same complainers are of the same type that support clerics who spout words that inflame hatred and intend incitement to violence.
Are the Scots really so complacent and cowed by the PC minions that they allow this kind of farce on their own soil?

Is Australia next for this kind of lunacy?

Anyway, I'll be glad when the pope goes home. What a fuss is being made over the visit of someone who talks to god (well, he hears voices). Hopefully, his next visit will be to Shankill Road, Belfast. As for the draconian laws that will be in place while he's here, hands up all those who think that we'll go back to 'normal' when the old holy goat leaves? What, no sea of hands?
