Yes, I'm "obviously" generalising. I did that on purpose in order to make a stronger point. There's a few fine Aussie comics, but not many.
There's 2 main problems with much of today's live Aussie comedy (1) poorly written material, and often VERY amateurish (2) poor stage delivery, often with no pathos, interpretation, theme development and light and shade. There's also a VERY DUMB over reliance on the "F" word.
