Yes, I think it's probably the best online forum in Australia. The articles and participants are a fairly diverse mix of opinions and perspectives. Of course, there's too many religious nutters, racists, wingnuts and men who resent women - but they would probably say similar things about secular, humanist, lefty and feminist types like me :)
However, I think that any further encouragement of specifically Christian perspectives would detract significantly from this forum's quality. For those who want a Christian forum, I'm sure there's plenty of them out there. In fact, I often wish our resident godbotherers would spend more time in places like that than endlessly preaching in this forum. Posted by CJ Morgan, Sunday, 27 April 2008 9:47:29 AM

Gibo, I'm a member of a few good forums. One is based on Australian politics and has a sprituality sub board which I think is run by a Christian. You would be welcome there.

The best ,who knows, but it is probably the least abusive and more personable forums on the net.OLO have to a large extent have maintained the standards and discipline that others can only dream of.
It is a two way street, when we stop the positive feedback, and the staff of OLO lose the passion,so will it decay. Posted by Arjay, Sunday, 27 April 2008 7:56:27 PM

C J Morgan,
'However, I think that any further encouragement of specifically Christian perspectives would detract significantly from this forum's quality.' How so? Why is say... the encouragement of specifically feminst perspectives on OLO not detracting from the forum's quality? Or does only your own political agenda and religious beliefs (or lack of) demonstrate such 'quality'? Posted by Usual Suspect, Monday, 28 April 2008 11:34:11 AM

The feminists don't have a special 'zone' either Usual Suspect, which I believe is what CJ was referring to in regards to Gibo's 'suggestion'.

Thanks Freediver. I'll go there.
I wondered why so few people had anything to say in favour of the Forum. Then it struck me...theyre too busy talking to uplift management. Posted by Gibo, Wednesday, 30 April 2008 8:08:31 PM

I have yet to see a better forum.
Does anyone know of one? Outside the country as well?
Could the site be improved?
I would like to see a Christian zone where christians could talk and non-Christians could come... if they want.
How have readers viewed the site?
