You know I just read a depressing article about the history of Cyprus.
Wars between brothers, about lands and cultures. It is one of those amazingly beautiful islands that underline the cruelty and blindness of humanity.
What is the difference between a Turk and a Greek? Aren't we all brothers in this world? why do we keep destroying our planet and ourself with our EGO?

Men are at war between each other because we enjoy it. It's what we are designed for. Otherwise we get bored. Which is why we play football, rugby, that silly Aussie rules stuff, and cricket. Even lawn bowls. The Cypriots take the cake for being stupid. They should take up lawn bowls. It's safer.

You raise the question.. please don't ridicule the answer:

THE PROBLEM:

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Rom 3:23A

The above verse is a type of partial conclusion after 3 chapters developing the idea of fallen man.

THE SOLUTION:

" are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." 3:23B

The process of obtaining that redemption, is called 'repentance and faith'

Repentant, redeemed, renewed men.. don't steal other's terrirtory or stuff. It's that simple.

Nice thought. But there will never be an RRR man. We crucified the last one; it fair put off the other applicants for the job. So I'd prefer the safer route of competing via lawn bowls and then having a beer with the opposition.

Hi Henry... true..there will be no 'perfected' RRR man. But there can be many who are on the right track.

Paul said:

<<10 I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.>> Phil 3:10

then...

<<12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.>>

Much better to be in the race and running toward that noble goal than just being spectators wondering about the outcome of the race :)
