Hi arjay
I recently had my amalgums removed for the same reason of mercury toxicity. I suffer from dermatitis, which has improved recently however i could not attribute this solely to lack of mercury. I only had 3 fillings. What has improved is less headaches and jawaches , better oral health - less ulcers, less split lips etc. Mercury affects people in many different ways - my girlfirend had her 13 fillings replaced recently with the hope of improve muscle stiffness and digestive and reproductive disorders. I would definitely go ahead with filling replacement particularly if you have lots. mercury is toxic, no ifs or buts. and it leaks into your system from your fillings slowly but consistently and it remains in your body for a long time. if you do make sure you research it first - your average dentist may not be aware of the need for dental dams and high suction and other precautions. Also look into detoxification procedures for the 3 mths after. good lcuk Posted by The Mule, Sunday, 27 January 2008 3:50:02 PM

The various dental associations around the world will not to this day, admit that amalgam fillings pose any serious health threats, yet they do not recommend that that children or pregnant women get them. The World health Organisation states that there is no safe level of mercury in the body.We have enough mercury in our teeth to pollute and entire lake, yet for some reason it is safer in our mouths absorbing it 24/7 than in the environment.Dr Hal Huggins was expelled from the American Dental Association for unprofessional conduct because he recommmended the removal of amalgams for health reasons. The reason why the Dental Associations have closed ranks is that of litigation.According to Hal Huggins this coverup is bigger than the cigerette cover up.Huggins has noted that the increase of auto-immune diseases such as mutiple sclerosis, chronic fatigue syndrome, and genetic disorders such as Autism and slow degenerative diseases such as Alzheimers. Many of these disorders were virtually unknown until the use of amalgam began 150yrs ago.
Because mercury in low doses acts slowly on it's victims, they do not notice the progressive degeneration of their health until the body at some point reaches crisis point. The economic implications are enormous. If the dental associations recommend the removal of amalgam, then they are admitting to liability.Govts too could also be implicated so very little research is done on the effect of the slow poisoning effects of amalgam fillings. In the past they have assumed that all human metabolisms are the same and have the same tollerances to poisons such as mercury. For more info google Dr Hal Huggins and view his videos. If you are suffering some inexplicable, incurable illness count the number of mercury fillings in your teeth. They could be killing you. Finally some people start to wake up,hooray hooray.
Now show me the research about fluoride/aluminum/chlorine from your drinking water and the effect it has on amalgam in your teeth and of course your pineal & thyroid glands.Do not forget the research on mercury in vaccines, then just telly it all up and see why there is so much misery in peoples health. Some people (if not all) will have there DNA changed forever.Take up a bit of GMO in your food on top of that and .....you get the picture! Posted by eftfnc, Tuesday, 29 January 2008 1:45:12 PM

I thinking of getting my alalgams removed and would like to know of any anecdotal evidence of those who have had improved health particularly with eczema.
