Beyond farce.

"Saudi Arabia’s Human Rights Commission (HRC) [now there's an oxymoron!] will urge its counterparts in the European Union to ask their governments not to link terrorism to Islam and also to issue regulations to protect Muslims from prejudice and discrimination because of their faith."

http://www.arabnews.com/?page=1&section=0&article=102017&d=4&m=10&y=2007

From an eighth grade Saudi Arabian textbook:

"As cited in Ibn Abbas: The apes are Jews, the people of the Sabbath; while the swine are the Christians, the infidels of the communion of Jesus."

See:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/05/19/AR2006051901769_pf.html

We've all heard of "BLOOD DIAMONDS"

See for example:

http://blooddiamondmovie.warnerbros.com/

Maybe we should also think about "BLOOD OIL."

If you're thinking about buying a petrol guzzling SUV think about the sort of people you're helping fund in places like Saudi Arabia, Nigeria and Iran.

A rider.

There have been calls to boycott Shell because of their behaviour in Nigeria.

Trouble is, oil is a fungible. So long as the PRICE of oil remains high Shell will make a profit on its Nigerian oil holdings.

To really hurt both "Big Oil" and the nasty regimes that export oil we need to reduce the PRICE of the product. That will hit them where it hurts most.

The best way of reining in future price increases in the short-term is to reduce DEMAND.

So even if you're a climate change sceptic, here's a good reason to buy fuel efficient cars.

Or you can consider cycling. Thanks to my excellent bicycle I scarcely notice the price of petrol.

Steven.. glad you are picking up on this.

A saudi sheikh who is based in a London mosque.. is quite clear..

(Despatches videos part 1-6 youtube.)

"bide your time, preach...until you are strong...then take over"

Nothing could be clearer (except to our friends Perilous, Ginx and CJ Morgan.)

If morons like that Sheikh can say such things in private.. then we have not just the right, but the responsibility to make as much noise in PUBLIC as possible until they are cast out as a despicable moral fungis of the worst kind.

The west coast of Africa is the the midst of an "oil fever" so to speak, as its now “one of the fastest growing sources of oil and gas”.
Whats interesting is that as a potentially volatile area both politically and socially, the Americans have been forthcoming in expanding their 'war on terror' to such areas through the arming and training of state military forces, claiming it has no link with the security of oil interests in the regions, Bollocks!!. China on the other hand has been on a similar pursuit arming and training government forces in bordering regions, building close regional alliances. It all has a whiff about it of the arms proliferation in the Balkans prior to WW1, with the struggling of both sides to gain military advantage over the other creating a cinder pot for that one single spark to set it all off.

Im extremely wary of whats occuring in these places, but stevenlmeyer your mention of the movie "Blood Diamond" reminds me of the moment they pass that African chap whose village had been massacred and plundered and he says to the main actors;

"I hope they dont find oil here, then we'll really be in trouble"

The Saudis (responsible for 9-11) are backed and allies of the USA. They recently received 20 billion US dollars for their crimes.

The war on Islam is a ploy to get you gullible fools to exert your political influence on their behalf.

No one cared about Islam before, except the feminists.

Ok, I'll bite.

The Saudis are responsible for 911? How so?

The war on Islam..........you need to expand on that one too.

Only feminists cared about Islam..... expand on that one too.
