If they stopped using humanitarianism as a tool of war and stopped building bombs to blow innocent people up and using it to keep U.S jobs and people elected maybe I'd be more open to what they say.

Slavery exists in multiple parts of the world.

Here's an example.

The 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which famously abolished slavery in 1865, contains an explicit exception clause. It states that neither slavery nor involuntary servitude shall exist in the United States, "except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted." i.e. people in prisons.

Some prisoners (slaves) in the U.S. are not even paid for their labour.

Ditto repeato. Paying immigrants less than locals is not the same as slavery. Many immigrants in Australia get paid less. That's part of mass immigration: cheap labour, but still tax what they get.

Why doesn't the US cut off trade with China? Good question, also applying to Australia. Could be because politicians are working under direction from Big Global Business. It could be because the politicians want to send our tiny carbon dioxide emissions offshore. Whatever the reason, we will never get back to prosperity without tariffs on cheap labour, and straight out slavers like China.

Americans and Australians don't “prefer” Chinese goods: they want everything that they can't get free from the government to be as cheap as possible. They tell each other how terrible slavery and forced labour is, but they lap up the benefits of it.
