According to Alexey Muraviev of ‘Strategic Policy Analysis’, India has given Russia the ability to deploy forces on Australia's doorstep.

India has been grasped as an ally by the Albanese government in defence (of all things!), education for their students, and preferential immigration opportunities for its people.

India temporarily veered towards Russia after the Raj folded. They backed off for economic reasons, but they have retained a long-standing relationship with Russia, seemingly unnoticed by the Albanese regime.

Now, they have made 29 agreements worth $US100 billion with Russia, including some military ones that could threaten Australia, including visa relaxations and Russia's ambition for a “long-term” anchorage in the Indian Ocean.

A ‘Reciprocal Exchange of Logistics Support’ agreement ratified on 3rd. December, allows Russia access to India's defence structure and bases.

Russia can now “extend their strategic reach to Australia's maritime theatre”.
