I wonder if you could get Telstra on false advertising?! To call their next G ads an exaggeration is very mild indeed!!

Telstra would not sell you a dud phone or mislead you in any way, would they?
Such nice, honest, hard-working people.
Never!
I actually enjoy their jazzy on-hold music even after two hours of it.

What a great thread country girl! the reason we had to give up a service that worked for one that did not?
Profit! not Happy with the built in decay of the old system a new way to force us to buy unwanted rubbish had to be found.
Some white collar crime is at Bord level.
My loyalty to telstra is the same as theirs to me ZERO.

In the NSW/QLD border town of Wallangarra lies a large billboard, proclaiming the greatness of Next G services.

Somewhat ironically, beneath that very sign, you can get no reception on this vaunted Next G network.

Which essentially, sums up Telstra in a nutshell.

Ha! TRTL, I was on the verge of mentioning that sign, and the irony that Next-G doesn't work in Wallangarra.

Strangely enough, the sign has been removed in the past few days... A pity, since more than one local expressed the desire to 'improve' it with a spraycan while it was there :)

I have got used to 3G not working, and the regret of having given my cdma phone away!
I have installed satellite gear from ipstar, at no cost, speed is satisfactory, service friendly and swift, tattar telstra for now I have a satellite phone connection, still getting used to the "voice delay" but it is worth it just to rid myself of Telstra.
Still paying off the contract for the free telstra mobile phone I was "sold on". When done with that they will rot in hell before I buy another Testra service.
No answer service but ebay have cheap recorders and I just use what remains of the mobile service for emergency, and I have few.
Anyone that qualifies for the free install of ipstar should do it soon it can't last for free for ever.
