The Australian newspaper has reported on childcare training in Australia: “The federal government’s national training register shows (that) supporting inclusion and diversity tops the list of 15 compulsory units of study for childcare staff.”

The Inclusion and Diversity module shows how babies and toddlers are affected by “... culture, race, ethnicity, disability, gender and gender identification, intergenerational disadvantage, family types, sexual orientation and sexual identity and socio-economic circumstances.”

What a load of nonsense!

The health, safety and well being of the poor little buggers farmed out to strangers by their mothers comes further down the list.

This is all down to the government (again) making it impossible for mothers to stop home to look after their own children before they start school at 5 years: the age when it is vital for this to happen. As far as I'm aware, there has been no change to the scientific fact that a mother (not a father or anyone else) is of utmost importance to a child - all day, every day until they reach that age.

Taxpayers, including the childless, are currently paying $16 billion for this nonsense, on top of what users pay.

And, safety for babies toddlers is so good, that at least one alleged child abuser has worked in 20 separate centres for the past 8 years.

While the current news about a carer is still an allegation, last year a paedophile “carer” was sentenced to life with a 27 year non-parole period. And, the last revelation is inappropriate photography of babies and toddlers.

It's a poor sort of country where mothers can't actually be mothers because the government has made it too expensive for them to do so.

The world is already far overcrowded and government should not financially encourage new babies, regardless whether they stay with their mothers, fathers, organised or unofficial care.

The perpetrators who flood this world with more humans, they alone should bear the full costs.

Armchair Critic,
Are you referring to those arranged marriages of grown men to 6 year old girls ?

Fertility rates in Australia have been falling for the last decade. Population increases are due to immigration; Australians are not replacing themselves. In 2023, the rate of 1.5 per births per woman was the lowest ever. 2.2 is the minimum for population maintenance.

All this ‘too many’ people is pure scaremongering.

Projections suggest that world population increase will be zero by the end of the 21st. Century.

However, facts and myths about population have nothing to do with the risks to the minds and bodies of Australian children dumped into childcare centres now and in the future

A Mildura kindergarten cleaner is alleged to have been caught with 5,000 images of children via a camera set up in toilets. He was granted bail, of course. And the low-ranking police officer on the case couldn't say whether or not the man's permission to work around children had been revoked, nor whether his employer would ban him from working near children as he enjoys a bit of bail.

According to some people, if parents stopped having these pesky children, this person wouldn't be doing what he is alleged to have been doing.

Which raises a question for those griping about there being too many people in the world: does that just mean other people, and not themselves?
