As some commentators are asking: what about ANZUS? Around since 1951, that’s the alliance that binds us to America. The “NZ” should have been struck out when the commie Lange ducked out because he didn't want US nuclear powered ships to visit New Zealand.

AUKUS PAUKUS. We still won't be able to defend ourselves if we do get submarines in a decade's time. ANZUS is our best defence. America can be expected to come to our aid only if that maniac Albanese doesn't stuff that as well; and doesn't have the sense to agree to go along with America on Taiwan, if necessary, as we have in all other military conflicts. We wouldn't be defending Taiwan - we would be defending ANZUS and our own security.

No were not ttbn,
Taiwan will b used as a flashpoint and proxy to START a conflict with China, just as Ukraine was, and we'll be roped into a war against our largest trading partner, which will bankrupt us and get Australians killed for the sake of a declining empire and its plans for to retain global hegemony at any cost.

Headline seen today “Albanese has traded a Western partner for a communist master”.

So much for AUKUS and ANZUS if that is true.

The instigator of that headline (subscribers only) wrote that the only “transparency” about Albanese’s China junket were the “holiday snaps” provided to the media. All vetted first by the “master” I assume.

Finally returning to Australia, Albanese told the ABC that the “1.4 million-strong Chinese-Australian diaspora” is an “important linkage” (to China).

Funny. I thought that was the job of the Chinese ambassador, and his acolyte, Albanese himself. Could there be some truth in the often expressed belief that Chinese immigrants are controlled by Beijing?

Back to the suggestion about Albanese in the headline. Other publications more available to the general public hint at something similar about Albanese:

‘The Australian’ - “Mr. Inbetween”.
SkyNews - “In Beijing's pocket” following a “fluffy China visit”.

The Chinese ‘Morning Post’ - “Albanese’s China trip shows stiffening of Canberra’s spine in the face of US pressure”.

More realistically, the writer of the headline: “Our Prime Minister, meanwhile, is more likely to accidentally start a Pacific war while taking a holiday snap, such is his lack of grace and geopolitical awareness”.

She also opines that, “Albanese is either blind, historically illiterate, delusional, or unbothered by future harm”.

And those not afraid to watch ‘alternative’ TV could have seen the Albanese China trip described as cringe-worthy and an embarrassment, with Albanese looking like a cheap tourist on a Contiki tour, paying tribute to the Chinese “emperor”

ttbn, pulls out from extreme right field the Murdoch gutter press, which is to be expected. Careful not to mention the source of his headline, “Albanese has traded a Western partner for a communist master" something from one of his far right raving publications no doubt. From unbiased reports the Albanese trip to China, has been very successful from Australia's point of view.

p/s Only a raving wack job would want Australia involved in an American war of aggression with China. Would he also expect Australia to go to war should the unpredictable criminal Trump try to annex Canada and/or Greenland, me thinks not!

I think Australia is already effectively bankrupt. When I see Labor policies it appears that they don't understand the concept of a two sided market. When they enact punitive measures on investors they don't seem to understand that the investors can walk away. The Labor party appears to focus on spending rather than production. We need Margaret Thatcher here. As Elon Musk says the biggest evils are red tape and government spending.
