A legitimate place for feminist activism:

The legitimacy of womens rights in Western Democracies and their successes, are counter balanced by the realities of the “lot” of women in Arabic Countries and extended societies elsewhere, where any objection to confronting the Patriarchal dominance of Arabic cultural norms are met with fierce resistance.

When I read stories like this, I'm starting to think Australia will be a better place with more Muslims.

Sunday’s Gaza protest a glaring example of tone-deaf intransigence

>>The streets of Melbourne fell victim on Sunday to a glaring example of tone-deaf intransigence.

As they have done regularly for the past almost two years, protesters marched and chanted along the thoroughfares of Melbourne to register their disgust at the war in Gaza. They wore keffiyehs and chanted slogans. Many chanted “Death to the IDF” and some held placards with the same message, or others such as “Glory to the martyrs”.

Yesterday, of all days, they should have paused. No actions are taken in isolation. There is always context.

On Friday night in Melbourne, three attacks occurred against Jewish people. To march two days later shows an appalling lack of judgment by protesters and organisers. Instead of thinking, “What is the consequence of our actions in light of what happened on Friday?” they went, blinkered, onto the streets.

There is no parallel here with events in Gaza. While many feel a deep sense of despair over the mounting death toll in that conflict and are desperate to see it end, no sensible Melburnian wants to see the tragic and deadly Israel-Gaza conflict imported and played out on our streets with violence and animosity.

Yet, to our dismay, that is what appears to be happening.

On Friday, East Melbourne Synagogue, which was founded in 1857, only six years after Victoria, was targeted in a firebombing attack. On the same night, about 20 people raided the Israeli restaurant Miznon in Hardware Lane in the CBD, yelling, grappling with staff and knocking over tables, chanting “Death to the IDF” and “Miznon out of Melbourne”. Diners, understandably, were in fear. In Greensborough, three cars were set alight and the wall of Lovitt Technologies Australia, a weapons company with links to Israel, was graffitied.

No one was physically injured in the attacks.<<

God's chosen people stop at nothing telling us what Australia is and how we should think, live and protest.

Intransigence, which refers to the state or quality of being intransigent, meaning unwilling or refusing to change one's views or to agree.
It implies stubbornness and inflexibility in refusing to compromise.

How dare these people not support Israel's genocide?
Why can't they just set aside their value of human rights and dignity just once, for Israel?
What do they really care about all these slaughtered women and kids?
After all, we're told these people are just nothing more animals and a plague of pestilence.
- Outrageous.

Seriously though, I think the word better applies to the perpetrators not the victims.

I don't see why what goes on in other societies is a "counterbalance" to what goes on in Australia or other like countries. We can't be bothering ourselves with foreign women. We can't help them.

As one of the pale male humans some women are so contemptuous of, I note that these same women in Australia do not give a fig about their 'sisters' in Islamic countries; so, you can bet your bippy that I'm not going to lose any sleep over any of them.

Activist women do not actually endear themselves to anyone, male or (sensible) female.

Don't forget the hidden message under these chants, that even the
chanters may not realise;
Death to all Christians and other unbelievers, ie you and me, is what
the message really is all about.
Don't just attack me, just believe what they say for once.
