Dutton's idea of a referendum asking if dual-citizen rubbish and dangerous people should be deported without the say-so of activist judges working against Australia's best interests has already been knocked in the head by his lefty colleagues, including by the shadow attorney general. Our political class has well and truly trashed our country. As elections seem no longer to make any difference, it's no wonder that 52% of GenZ sees no point in them. They are the ones who will be living in the smoking ruins of the suicidal West.

I think I might vote for Palmers Trumpet of Patriots.
Personally I think both the left and right are garbage, and voting for Palmer is effectively a 'middle finger vote' to both of them.

The Dutton referendum. The Australian Constitution was not created by "activist judges", rather it was written by crusty old conservative men, much like you, but with brains. As for dual citizenship, which the Constitution allows for, Australian citizenship takes precedence over all other. In the case of criminals offences by a dual citizen, once a person has served their time, they are considered free, and therefore they can once more take their place in society.

What Dutton put up was grandstanding, a $400 million referendum, which if successful, would at best see only a very small number of people ever deported.

Technically, this is a result of the EXHAUSTIVE preferential voting system, rather than of the preferential voting system as such,
but the real culprit is that real humans are not represented in parliament, only the artificial construct of non-sentient "electorates" are.
