If we vote for a party that works for the good of the country
for the benefit of us all - instead of only for a select few,
then I think that ends up benefiting us all instead of only
the select few. Sometimes our own interests have to be put aside
for the benefit of all.

I'm unconvinced.

I think if I was somehow appointed king of the country then it would be necessary to try to rule from a position of the greater good.
- Try to be inclusive of all the citizens wishes, and try to appease my detractors else I may lose my head.

I wonder, do we get that now with the 2 majors, or when they get their mandate we all paddle west, and then the other team wins we all about face and paddle east.

Voting seems different, where as it's not my responsibility to vote based on whats good for everyone, but whats good for me and my interests.

You think that when donors 'buy' influence, they care about everyones interests or just their own?

Most voters believe voting for a party that serves their interests is what's good for the country. Self Interest and Hip Pocket Nerve tend to run the quinella in the political race for most "punters"

In 1933 Hitler's Nazi Party received 17 million votes out of a possible 39 million. So many Adult thinking Germans thought the Nazi's were a good idea. "Voting presents a variety of different perspectives" it certainly does.
