Around this time, four years ago, we were in the middle of the Covid19 hysteria. We were going to spend 14 days to “flatten the curve”. Of course, as with all things governmental 14 days became 30 days and then 15 weeks and, in some locales like Victoria, much, much longer.
Businesses were closed, jobs lost, people isolated and alone. Elders left to die unattended by loved-ones. Kids forced out of schooling. Medical check-ups cancelled. Cancers left undiagnosed.

Government powers grew exponentially. Lockdowns. enforced mask wearing, later, enforced vaccinations. Censorship rampant.
So, what have we learned about those halcyon </sarc> days, four years later.

* Origin. Governments, the UN and of course, China claimed it was a natural event. Those who dared to suggest it was man-made and originated in a Chinese laboratory were derided, silenced, and censored. Some lost careers. Now the authorities agree that the most like origin was a mishap in a Wuhan laboratory. Those who were censored haven’t been acknowledged. Those who did the censoring haven’t accepted responsibility. The censors haven't apologised. Let’s all pretend the censorship of what turned out to be the truth didn’t happen is the overriding response.

* Lockdowns. The overwhelming consensus now is that the lockdowns that governments around the world favoured were a mistake. While the immediate effect might have been a reduction in deaths for the period of the lockdown, it was merely delaying the inevitable. Australia’s own lockdown experience was a disaster. * Disinformation – it is now clear that the authorities and medical fraternity outright lied about issues surrounding the virus to get compliance. Depending on the needs of the moment, masks were either good or not needed. An arbitrary social distancing measure was proclaimed based on, it turned out, precisely no science. We were told that all were at risk even though it was clear from very near the outset, that it was the elderly and infirm alone who were at risk. That data was suppressed. Media, especially social media, was enjoined to perpetuate this disinformation and to suppress any contrary views.

* Vaccine - The most egregious disinformation came later during the release of what was called a vaccine. We were told that the vaccine would stop the virus, that you wouldn’t get the virus if you were vaccinated, that you were obliged to get vaccinated to protect those around you. All that was a lie. The vaccine didn’t (doesn’t) stop the virus and doesn’t stop the spread of the virus. Those who developed the vaccine were ultimately forced to admit that not only doesn’t it stop the spread, they knew that was the case from the outset and were so sure of that, that they didn’t even bother checking if it could. Again, governments lied about it and the various media were used to suppress dissenting information. People lost jobs because they refused the so-called vaccine. Others were effective ostracised from society for lack of vaccine certification.
There are now worrying signs that not only couldn’t the vaccine stop the virus, but it was dangerous for some who took it. How dangerous we are yet to determine, but the signs are worrying…

As the public has become more aware of the dangers and more aware of the false claims around the vaccines, covid immunisation rates have declined. Unfortunately, the vaccine disinformation has led people to also question other vaccines (incorrectly) and vaccine rates for all sorts of other diseases have declined.

* Just a bad flu. Those who were saying this from the outset were massively suppressed. But now the US Centre for Disease Control have downgraded “COVID to Same Severity as the Flu”.

* Ivermectin. This deserves a special place in Covid19 considerations. The vaccines were a massive profit centre for BigPharma and they didn’t want that disrupted. Ivermectin was cheap and a potential disruptor for these profits, and therefore it had to be attacked. The attack was to claim it was dangerous and really only meant for livestock. Trump suggesting it as a treatment was an additional reason for the globalists to attack it. In Australia it was basically banned as a Covid treatment.

But study after study have shown it to be both effective and safe as either a treatment or a prophylactic. Recently the US Food and Drugs administration were forced to admit that Ivermectin was safe and effective (http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/03/fda-loses-its-war-ivermectin-agrees-remove-all/) and to remove all restrictions on its use for Covid.

How many lives this cost and what was the cost to the community in actual dollars misspent is yet to be determined, but enormous is probably close to the truth.

The answer is none. No one needs to do a study to know that. It is now known that vaccines didn't stop the transmission of the virus and therefore one person being vaccinated didn't help their neighbour in the slightest.

How is this known? (1) Several papers, including one by Fauci, have shown that the vaccine could not and wasn't designed to stop the transmission of the virus. (2) The manufacturers admitted that they didn't check if the vaccine could stop the spread because it was neither designed to do so and didn't have the capability to do so.

It's complex but basically the vaccine stopped or reduced the virus in the blood stream but the virus initially entered the body through the nasal vessels which the vaccine didn't stop and was transmitted from there.

The vaccine could and did do one thing and one thing only - reduce the severity of the illness for those infected. Nothing else.

The claims by the authorities and others that the vaccine could stop the transmission and protect the unvaccinated was entirely propaganda. Still, they be pleased to know that some are still falling for it.

The "trident" of modern times. 1st prong: COVID and the overall deterioration of population health. 2nd prong: Global Warming and the greatest fraud ever committed on humankind (which leads directly to) - the 3rd prong: Electric cars, wind power and the inevitable collapse of base load electrical grid security. Following that; a global societal collapse in major cities, if we haven't already entered into a major conflict by then. Any way you look at it we are all shafted. I "complied with the Fuhrers's directives .." and had the 3 mandatory jabs, but regret doing so now my health has declined. Many of my former comrades in arms (many with 30 - 40 + years of service in the ADF) have moved away from coastal areas and headed for the hills, citing cities will become something like an apocalyptic movie set within 5 years. Some 660,000 immigrants arrived here last year and only 156,00 new dwellings built. The sums don't add up to a very harmonious conclusion.
