We don't want criminal gangs feeling like they can freely
operate in this country like they are doing elsewhere.
Strict laws need to be applied and we need the staff and
the resources to be able to do it.

Hi Foxy,

Labor are taking immediate action, by injecting $50 million into front line immigration compliance services, and boosting the number of officers up to 290 asap, and hopefully back to 2013 levels thereafter. Do you see the irony of Dutton, whilst he was outwardly the "tough talker" as the responsible minister, particularly when it came to dealing with a handful of refugees, all awhile privately cutting the services that were fighting organised crime and exploitation. Dutton can't be trusted! Then there is indy who wants to blame the wrong people!

Hi Foxy,
"Public pressure needs to be applied."

How do you expect that to happen, realistically Foxy?
Anyone who criticises immigration will get labelled as being racist.
This is the situation that people like yourself have created for all of us.
- And I'm pretty sure I told you that, years ago.
You people are making a choice for the rest of us that will affect all of us
- And as for the rest of us, we're all locked in now and we have to go along with the ride.
- And I'm pretty sure I told you that as well.
Sad but true.

Hi Paul,
They'd be better off cutting immigration and spend it on social housing.
Spending more on immigration issues won't put a roof over the heads of homeless people.
I told everyone many times that our leaders are completely incompetent.
That said, this kind of thing should come as no surprise.

BTW, the 'Please Explain' in the threat title is very fitting.
Hate her all you want, but in my opinion the only party standing up for sensible policy on immigration is Pauline Hanson's One Nation.

And this country is stuffed, if things don't change;
- expect the numbers of homeless to continue to increase.

Hi Paul,

Good to learn that the current government will be
taking action. I've already sent several emails to
some MPs and Premiers. Hopefully it will encourage
them to take further action. We've got a very good
federal MP in our electorate who actually asks for
opinions on things.

More than a decade ago, Australia experienced a large increase in the number of Indian students enrolling in dubious VET courses: hairdressing and cooking, to name a couple. Then they sought permanent residency.

Private colleges and agencies operated as ‘middlemen’ for Australia’s immigration system; making money out of it, of course.

An 'Australian Financial Review' report has shown that the same thing has happened this year - Indian "students" enrolling at several universities, but failing to turn up for lectures. Fake colleges pinching them from universities.

A parliamentary inquiry has heard that private VET providers and unregulated agents steal students from universities for large commissions, sell work visas, and build “ghost colleges” where students do not attend classes but are awarded degrees.

The Albanese government says that it intends to do something about immigration rackets. Time will tell.

However, Albanese has signed an agreement with India that will see:

.Five year student visas, with no caps on the numbers of Indians that can study in Australia.

. From 1 July 2023, Indian graduates of Australian tertiary institutions on a student visa can apply to work without visa sponsorship for up to eight years.

That means an even larger flow of immigrants to contribute to back door immigration, pressure on housing, infrastructure and services; all of which will not be revved up to cater for the influx, and locals will suffer even more than they are now.
