Despite the wild stories of an out of control smoking ceremony, two men have been found guilty of arson in relation to the $5.3 million 2021 Old Parliament House fire.

Looks like having nothing better to do than arson about brings out the crap !

It was part of a "cultural ceremony" they claimed!! !!
Burning down solid doors is part of their culture, dontcha know. Been doing it for 1000s of years....or something. Just so that WTF can keep up, that was sarcasm. It seems they just thought that if they used the word 'culture' it was a get outta gaol free card. It seems one of the cultural warriors arrived at the cultural ceremony in a silver Mercedes. Poor thing, I bet he's all for closing the gap. Posted by mhaze, Wednesday, 6 September 2023 5:01:23 PM

The weirdest lie from the Left at the time was that it was ant-vaxxers 'what done it'.

WTF?
So if mhaze says that it is "sarcasm" then we can assume that it is misinformation? Sounds good to me. What an odd "all or nothing world" some seem to inhabit. So is the unstated assumption (going on previous comments in other threads) that if one is supportive of initiatives such as the Voice then one must be supportive of vandalism? Dear WTF?,
It really is a lot more toxic from mhaze than that I'm afraid. It generally is now just utter lies. The curious part of the story concerns Nicholas Reed. "Reed’s barrister, James Sabharwal argued that it would be “difficult” for the jury to identify a complete stranger based on a couple of CCTV videos. But the jury ultimately sided with the prosecution and found the evidence, which included the silver Mercedes being registered to a woman who shared the same last name and address with the accused, was enough to convict. The address, a home in Metung, is owned by Business Council of Australia president Tim Reed and his wife, according to The Australian." http://www.news.com.au/national/nsw-act/courts-law/jury-finds-two-men-guilty-of-being-ringleaders-of-blaze-of-old-parliament-house-fire/news-story/419944d117a05bcc0e7634d065eeaafd He isn't dark enough for mhaze to get too excited about but it will be interesting to learn what motivated him. "He isn't dark enough for mhaze to get too excited about "
Au contraire, SR. I'm very concerned. The poor bugger has to drive a Merc. I think its imperative on all of us that we close the gap to ensure that all those who are forced by their ancestry to partake in door burning "cultural ceremonies" are able to get around in nothing less than Teslas. Hello SteeleRedux,
What I find ironic is that mhaze has the arrogance to suggest that the co-author of the Statement from the Heart is wrong about her own understanding of that statement and its accompanying material. Yet the idea that Indigenous people want their own Voice because they are not listened to and misrepresented is exactly what mhaze is demonstrating. Ironic indeed. What I find amazing is that I can show the author of the Statement saying the whole 26 pages make up the statement, post the link here, and people like WTF will act as though it never existed, simply refuse to acknowledge its existence and pretend it never happened. And then convince themselves they are seekers after the truth.

It is obvious by their posts that SR & WTF are Labor party funded posters. I wonder if they are actual party hacks, or simply MPs media staff.
Obviously no one other than solid lefties could take seriously anything they post. Posted by Hasbeen, Thursday, 7 September 2023 5:04:30 PM

They are certainly both trying to avoid the fact that two people from their ideological camp have been found guilty of arson; a fact that hasn’t raised much interest in the MSM either. We are talking about domestic terrorism here. But these Marxist clowns would prefer to get off the subject as soon as possible. The maximum penalty for arson is 14 years, with 2 more added on if it occurs during public disorder - which certainly was the case at Old Parliament House. It must make them feel really good to have people like that on their side. Posted by ttbn, Thursday, 7 September 2023 5:18:48 PM

Our Forum friends from the rabid right are having a field day with this, it was a stupid thing to do in the first place, and now they are paying the penalty. End of story.

"The address, a home in Metung, is owned by Business Council of Australia president Tim Reed and his wife, according to The Australian."
I'm curious as to what the connection there was. That can't be just random or of little consequence. Posted by Armchair Critic, Friday, 8 September 2023 7:14:48 AM

WTF?
mhaze states: "WTF will act as though it never existed, simply refuse to acknowledge its existence and pretend it never happened." This is mhaze up to his/her/they adolescent arguing tactics laid bare for all to see - yet again. As I quoted the co-author the other day: ""Professor Davis also rejected claims that the extra pages were kept "secret" until recently, noting that most have been publicly available for years, as they form part of the 2017 Final Report of the Referendum Council. "That's the formal report. It's all in there … nothing hidden," she wrote on Wednesday. "It's been there for seven years." Also from council co-chair Mark Leibler: "I was at Uluru for the national convention and witnessed the adoption of the Statement....It was a one page statement. It should not be confused with records of discussions which were never adopted by delegates at the Convention." So yes this is how mhaze defines "act as though it never existed, simply refuse to acknowledge its existence and pretend it never happened." What mhaze says is generally right and to the point. WEF, on the hand, hasn't even addressed the topic, but has run off at the mouth about the bloody Voice, which has nothing to do with the crime of arson.
So typical of Marxist wackjobs! On second thoughts, the activities of these left-leaning criminals might be a warning of the sort of behaviour we could expect more of if the Voice came into being. Posted by ttbn, Friday, 8 September 2023 8:52:29 AM

WTF?
ttbn says: " avoid the fact that two people from their ideological camp have been found guilty of arson." I had earlier posed the question to mhaze: "So is the unstated assumption (going on previous comments in other threads) that if one is supportive of initiatives such as the Voice then one must be supportive of vandalism?" Clearly ttbn thinks so. This is ttbn thinking not my thinking. Nobody has denied the fact that two people are guilty. mhaze and ttbn are implying that those who disagree with them are supporters of those who perform acts of arson. Quite sad really - hence my comment earlier: What an odd "all or nothing world" some seem to inhabit Posted by WTF? - Not Again, Friday, 8 September 2023 11:14:54 AM

WTF
You have identified yourself as being in the same mold as SR, Foxy, and Paul 1405 - to be clearly marked IGNORE. You don't know WTF you are talking about, and just repeat what other idiots and grafters blurt out in Google and Marxist publications. I respect your right to behave like a nincompoop, but I have no desire to engage with you again. Posted by ttbn, Friday, 8 September 2023 12:01:21 PM

WTF?
ttbn states: " just repeat what other idiots and grafters blurt out in Google and Marxist publications". Well if I'm blurting out from Marxist publications then it would be an easy ask for you to identify which quotes I have used from said Marxist publications. But we both know you cannot. ttbn you said I was avoiding facts when I clearly was not. You are just plain wrong. I have explained to you many times that Google is just a search engine. And as I pointed out in another thread your source "Jo Nova" was disappointed in her Google search so clearly the people you want you quote to back up your point of view have no problem with Google. ttbn states: "You have identified yourself as being in the same mold as SR, Foxy, and Paul 1405." So wrong yet again - it is you who is making this identification not me. Also: " but I have no desire to engage with you again." They always come back - denialism is a powerful drug. ttbn- "So typical of Marxist wackjobs!"
Answer- Interesting that Mao killed about 60 million people "in the name of equality". Russia killed about 20 million from memory. Overall communism killing more than 100 million people worldwide- I suspect it's under estimated. I came across a book the other day... Mao Tse-tung by Hugh Purcell. "Mao Tse-tung was a modest man. He was a man of the people, a man of peasant simplicity. He was also "by far the greatest man in the world today- probably the greatest of this century... A.L.Rowse (1975)... Hugh Purcell graduated in Modern History from Cambridge University." Posted by Canem Malum, Tuesday, 12 September 2023 12:10:14 AM

There must be something similar to Godwin's Law for discussions and the use of Marxism. Posted by WTF? - Not Again, Tuesday, 12 September 2023 7:55:08 AM

At least Paul1405 seems to have admitted that it was a stupid thing for the protesters to try and burn down Old Parliament House.
