Were those early Christian missionaries who were 'people of good intent' the same as priests who would molest young boys and Nuns who would treat children in their care despicably?

Being a Christian and believing in a Christian God doesn't necessarily make someone a good person.
Many of them are good, upstanding people on Sundays and horrible people on all the other days of the week.
- And some aren't even good people on Sundays.

Hi AC,

Every 6 weeks we host a lunch in our community hall for people doing it tough. Normally we get about 60 or 70 for a free, 3 course sit down meal, all donated and served by the helpers. Before the last event it was suggested by Pardra that it be extended to be a "Help and Community Lunch". It was billed that way, invited the community as well. We got 60 odd folk doing it tough registered as coming, from the community we got 4, not including the digs (dignitaries). Although many from the community donate, its obvious they don't want to sit down with "those kind of people", yet our Sunday lunches in the same hall for seniors attracts about 50, and it basically the same lunch. Go figure.

Padra did ask, how were the numbers, told him, humm he said, "a bit disappointing". hummm YES!

p/s The Padra was there. Gotta say all Big Business folk are not all bad guys. a few lunches back one of the big two Pizza mobs, without hesitation, donated 30 big pizzas, garlic bread, those little deserts they sell, and 2 doz large soft drinks (cold) all for a free lunch.

Hi Paul,
I know a couple of people who are doing it tough, and they could probably also just use the social outing.
If you give me some more info I could spread the word to a couple of people I know who might appreciate it.
- What's on the menu?
I may even turn up myself.

No Problem AC, Anyone needing help send em' over. 20 mins from Cleveland by train, 5 minute walk.

Last time was soup, roast chicken, tinned fruit and custard. Always on a Monday, about 6 weeks apart. Anyone can pick up a grocery pack of grocery items, frozen meals, bread and fresh f&V sometimes, Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9am to 11am. Monday is the busy day with Brekky Club, haircut girls once a month, Rosie's van every Monday, wash bus every second Monday, clothing van and our own op-shop 3 days (9am to noon). No religion, and no judgement of anyone's circumstance, other help can also be arranged, counselling for 'Centrelink', 'Tennancy' and other links as well if needed.

Thats too bad Trumpy has been indicked. He apparently gave the same probing to "Stormy" and Karen McDougal.

He blew his campaign money trying to buy their silence. Wonder how his wife Melania took it.

Boys will be boys.

America is so screwed up that:

"there is nothing in US law that prevents a candidate who is found guilty of a crime from campaigning for, and serving as, president - even from prison." http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-65012096
