More deep ignorance. Of course onshore gas in Victoria requires fracking. I sat on one of the panels looking at whether to keep the moratorium in place and it was all about the fracking as there were a lot of presentations from mining companies reassuring farmers about aquifers.

The idea that the country which exports the most gas in the world should be attempting to blame supply for high prices is unbelievably idiotic.

And Labor and the Greens are not to blame for the war in Europe.

According to the Vic state gov, no fracking is required to access this gas.

This gas would be available in Victoria where there is no LNG plant and it would compete against the gas supplied by QLD and reduce the gas price in SA, VIC and NSW without damaging the LNG export industry.

I admit I haven't been following the issue very closely, but I was under the impression that although the fracking ban remains, the moratorium on onshore gas development had been lifted at the start of the 2021-22 financial year.
Is that not the case?
