Who can devise a mechanism to control human greed other than limiting the amount one is allowed to spend, irrespective of the wealth he/she is perceived to have created, (if a mortal can create)?

If we have accepted as social necessity that no one has to earn less than a basic-wage, haven’t we, with such acceptance, implied the concept of a maximum wage?

If the basic-wage assures that no one dies of starvation, wouldn’t a top-wage assures the possibility of (a)sustaining the basic-wage and (b) achieve not only social justice but the responsibility and peace that go with it?

Simplify the tax system to remove the hidey holes that (un)-accountants use, then re-apply a progressive tax system.
It would also help to remove *all* "middle class" welfare payments. Only the needy deserve to be funded by other's incomes. Funding the wealthy, and corporations that pay execs millions is obscene. Also remove the tax breaks that let old industries thrive at the expense of new ones.
Few realise that the $M pay packets and parachutes are more "hush money" than "performance pay". The degree of corruption of the free market is stunning and becoming increasingly obvious, even to the public.
The current power elites should be very careful as they are in big danger of undermining the high ground they currently stand on. The US will surprised by it's downfall. I hope that we are not inevitably tied to the same fate by the same "leadership".
