By Greg Foyster, published 23/10/2009

Australia may or may not have a racism problem regarding Indian students. But we definitely have a policy problem.

I think it's bizarre that racism is being thrown around when it is so clearly Lebanese Muslim youth in western Sydney that are targeting these students!

When I read a pack of 25 bashed 2 Indian students the other weekend, it is an instantaneous thought that it could not have been white Australians. Such vicious herd qualities are not within western cultures.

So, yes, racism, but the Indians need to complain to the Lebanese Ambassador, not ours.

And hey, we copped it too down there for being 'Aussie skips'. They hate everybody. That's why they have to flee their homelands, and make their new homeland hell for us to live in, hence the white flight from areas like Auburn, Punchbowl, and Bankstown.

Herin lies the problem. Increase the economic capacity of Indian Students and racism goes away? Should it not be increase the economic capacity and representation of the working class, then racism will go away?

Why is is always about race? The more money you have the less "racist" you become because your bank balance defines who you are instead of any cultural or racial feature.

Capitalists are not racist. Had Africans been white their labour still would have been exploited if they were easy prey. Now the lower class is the target of hate and derision. Never was about race but who is on the rich depise list because they always will need someone to hate to enforce their sense of power and control.

Sadly, Benjam1n has nailed it:
We have to report honestly the nature of the attacks to have a chance of understanding them.
Whilst the media is supposed to refrain (quite rightly) from generating racial tension, it does not help when they completely ignore factors such as racial gangs that are causing the problems.
By identifying themselves as a group, then behaving badly they have earned the right to be named and shamed. If the group then has prejudice against them they deserve it. Part of adulthood is responsibility for one's actions. By protecting certain aggressive groups we are allowing them to continue the violence.
Pretty simple really: honest, transparent reporting. Too hard?
