By Don Allan, published 14/8/2009

Like a sinless and purer-than-pure preacher at a revivalist meeting Rudd heaps scorn on the hapless Turnbull.

Don, do not we all have many different faces or masks for the company we are in. Do you not act differently when in the company of your mother than when you are with your mates. One thing for sure, Mr. Turnbull does not have a poker face. He has looked miserable this week. Please is there anything that Mr. Rudd can do to please some people. It says something, that most of the criticism is at the level of nit picking.

It was poor strategy by Mr Turnbull to have come in so hard against Mr Rudd and Mr Swan in relation to "Utegate". In my mind we can think ourselves lucky that Mr Turnbul is not Prime Minister when he is clearly showing that he is not able to handle sensitive matters.

For goodness sake, some people can get totally hung up on the most superficial stuff. Come on Don, step past this sort of rubbish about multiple faces and Utegate and look at the quality of governance being dished out by Rudd and what Turnbull and his mob have got to offer, or more to the point; don't have to offer.

You’ll find plenty to pick at there – stuff of great importance to our future wellbeing.

“…we can think ourselves lucky that Mr Turnbull is not Prime Minister…”

Indeed we can ant. But we can also think ourselves very unlucky that Rudd IS PM.

But it has everything to do with the policies and scant little to do with these individuals, except of course that they espouse horrible policies….the greatest policy problem being the absolute worship of rapid population growth and never-ending expansionism.

If the battle is hopeless, any good general makes a hasty withdrawal, and regroups. This fellow Turnbull is a bit like the English Generals at Gallipoli, who had to lose a lot of Australian lives, as well as a lot of English ones too, before they admitted they were wrong. The Liberals have been massacred, in no less a way than the Australians were massacred by Turkish machine guns.

The usual solution in such a situation is to change the General. Turnbull and the Liberals deserve a huge amount of stick. They have been instrumental in merging Church and State in Australia into nine independent Bishoprics, each under the Suzerainty of a Chief Justice, with a retinue of quasi Priests, in direct contradiction of the Constitution. It was Menzies who first persuaded the High Court in 1952, to remove itself as a political force, and make itself a political farce, by enacting Order 58 rule 4 Subrule 3 High Court Rules 1952, to allow the Registrar and One Judge to control everything the High Court will hear. Australia has had a legal system like a headless chicken ever since.

In 2004, just before the Liberals downed Latham, the High Court Rules 2004 were proclaimed by the High Court. The Rules were made on the 5th October 2004. Four days later Latham met his Waterloo. You cannot tell anyone the High Court did not deliberately publish those Rules, to take advantage of the political confusion that follows any election.

Turnbull is no angel. He is a lazy incompetent lawyer, with no understanding of the Australian Constitution, and even less respect for the rule of law. He was a New South Wales Lawyer. They are the direct descendants from the lawyers who were given a choice. Go to jail or go to Australia mostly for perjury. Rudd is right to give him heaps of waddy. He deserves it. However one of the maxims of law is be careful what you ask for. Does Kevin really want Turnbull to resign? An effective Liberal Leader is probably the last thing Kevin Rudd really wants

It is a little hard to understand how the separation of Church and State were effected to establish the lasting English democracy. Rudd is a democrat, Turnbull is an autocrat. The separation of Church and State was effected by the English, by adopting the very words of the Holy Bible, to their government. The original advocate of the separation of Church and State was Jesus Christ. If anyone buys a Holy Bible with the words of Jesus Christ in Red Letters, it becomes clear just how he advocated this radical departure from existing Roman Catholic ( universal) Rule. Rudd is an Anglican, and for twelve or more years has been taking instructions in one of their churches.

When Jesus Christ stated his instructions from the Father were to separate Church and State he did so, in John 5 verses 22 and 23. Almighty God divested himself as the State from the power to be a Judge. He vested that in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ did not approve of Kings, and nor does Almighty God, so He taught the separation of powers. Jesus Christ in Luke 12 verse 10, teaches that the Holy Spirit, to whom all hearts are open, is to be the Heavenly judge, on earth while he is away. However Almighty God is still Chief Executive Officer of the Universe. At least that is what Kevin Rudd believes while he still attends church. Every Judge is God’s delegate. However when a Judge sits without a jury, as the Liberals have enacted he may, he is not separating Church and State but merging it.

Kevin Rudd should lay off Turnbull, who is a Roman Catholic. If he does not, the Liberals may just find an understanding leader. Almighty God may not be treated as a joke. So far we still have homelessness, we still have autocrats in charge of the Federal Courts in Australia, and we have avoided a recession, by a cats whisker. When we get a Liberal leader who does what KR did to JH, and seeks to keep the government honest, then we get good government

Turnbull blew his foot clean off with "utegate" and now Rudd and the rest of the Labor party can smell blood. It is hardly suprising that they are going in for the kill.

"as there is nothing like listening to a politician in self righteous mode lecturing other politicians on ethics and integrity"

Indeed and didnt we all laugh recently when Malcolm had a go. You seem to have forgotten that it was Turnbull who started all the "resign" and "unethical" BS. Getting upset that Rudd takes all advantage of Turnbulls stuff up is far more of a pot and kettle farce than anything you have written of.

Get a grip.
Politics at best is just entertainment. It's the illusion that they are trying to change things when in fact their role is to keep things pretty much the same for their respective masters.
They represent two wings of essentially the same party arguing over whose turn it is to ride in the Com-cars.

When these two go there are others just like them waiting to takes their places.

It may come as a shock to many but the theatrical performances by politicians isn’t at all what was intended Parliament should be about. Sure, the Framers of the Constitution anticipated political parties to be part of the Parliament. They anticipated that it would be where those elected representatives would represent their constituents and achieve the best outcome in the federal arena.

Sure it can be boring at times and so who would begrudge them of some jokes at times to keep everyone alert but what we now see is a display of melodramatically conduct occupying the time of members at huge cost to us all, after all we are ending up paying their “allowances” and we get nothing in real terms in return.

While the Parliament has rules such as 5 minutes for a reply, etc, somehow wasting the time of so many seems to be the norm without any time limits.

We should keep in mind that they might like to be entertainers but we are not paying them for this. Afterall it would be a lot cheaper to hire some entertainers then the waste of public revenue to pay so many Members of Parliament sitting there in the Parliament.

Kevin Rudd so much made known during the 2007 federal election that he is a “federalist”, shame he lost the perception of its true meaning as if he knew it he would not go on in the way he did ever since he was elected.

Regretfully, it doesn’t matter who is elected as most will perform likewise, once in power.

What we therefore need is for parliamentarians an education in etiquettes and what actually is expected from them as a Parliamentarian, such as appropriately representing the constituents. We might even get a real federation where Members of Parliament are attending to very serious business. As for Ministers of the Crown, they should be aware that once they become a Minister they must ignore their political party alliance and act in the interest of all, as after all this is their job for which they get paid a salary!

I resent anyone trying to use religion with politicians as the Framers of the Constitution made clear this was to be avoided.

Every person has a right to his/her religious belief but likewise those who do not practice any are entitled not to be bothered with that of others who do.

We have politicians falling over each other to get to all kind of religious denominations for election purposes and that just exposes how much a fake they are.

In my view we would do far better to elect INDEPENDENTS as while this may result to a chaos at least better then a DICTATORSHIP that we now have where the electors have no say who becomes the Prime Minister and it is all within a political party decided instead of it being the Governor-General doing so, as should be done.

The previous warmongering Governor-General underlines the danger of not having a true representative of the Queen appointed.

It should be understood that ministers are appointed to “ADVISE” the Governor-General and not that the Prime Minister takes over the job of the Governor-General in all but in name.

Now we have some Governor-General travelling about the world at our cost in an unconstitutional manner because her job as Governor-General is only effective while in the Commonwealth of Australia and not beyond.

Over the years I came to the conclusion that Malcolm Turnbull is ignorant to accept sound advise as he is too much up in himself how good he is because of his private life successes and that is a real shame because if he was a bit more humble and not so arrogant and was a better listener he might have been more successful.

Kevin Rudd, turns out to be the bully of the playground who thinks he can get away with whatever.

In most professions you need to succeed through studies to get successful and get a good paid job, with politicians they just have a political party deciding who next be the candidate and that is it and intelligence often is non-existing.
