In Iran the reform and democratic movements are left dispirited and rudderless, street protests are increasingly pointless.

Given the age demographics of the country,change is inevitable in Iran - if not at the next election, then the following.

For an insight into the current younger generation of Iranian, I urge you to see the Bahman Ghobadi film: "No One Knows about Persian Cats".

As reviewed by the 'National', "it is a fast, funny and heartfelt celebration of one of Iran's most marginalised minorities: rock musicians".

This is,in my opinion, a very thoughtful piece on Iran.

President Ahmadinejad is not the thick head he has been presented by the propaganda machinists of the West. He's a politician of uncanny perception and has always read not just his electorate but also world opinion very well.
