I suggest we start with a politicians league table to see just what voters think of them all.
The secondhand car dealers will find a significant weight lifted from their shoulders, I suspect.
Then we could go on to those true guardians of morals and ethical behaviour, the religious organisations that bleed billions of tax dollars from us with their taxfree status, while stealing other squillions for their so-called 'faith' schools that teach mumbo-jumbo dressed up as lamb (to the slaughter).
Mind you, Queensland state schools do that too, with the full support of the QTU and the QCPCA, not to mention the QSA who write the curriculum and allow, indeed, encourage, 'Intelligent Design' and 'Creationsim' in state schools here, and not just in science... it seems school teachers in Qld state schools are allowed to inject all this rubbish into any subject they teach, with the full blessing of the Education Minister and his evangelical EQ staff.
Chris Bonnor highlights a particularly crass application of rightwing ideology that Minister 'Right-turn' Gillard has plaigiarised directly from Julie Bishop, that moral saint from the Liberal Party, itself a guardian of all things good and true (?), and applied in a rush of enthusiasm for populist pro-right politics and against the best interests of all of us.
But why don't we get Craig Emerson to turn his 'grocery watch' web page into a 'schools watch' one and have a daily log of suspensions, detensions, assignment marks, and child abuse (for the faith schools) if we are going to have to continue with'league tables'?
