The story of Henrique Dias is an interesting one. But for him there might not have been a United States.

This is absolutely fascinating! I knew nothing at all about this history of Brazil. It seems that but for the successes of this brave and brilliant black Brazilian warrior, I could be speaking Dutch now.

This is a fascinating story and reminds me of the interesting story by Bryce Courtney entitled the Power of One. Here is an inspiring story of how one man can change the course of history for a whole nation. That he was unable to permanently change it is an indictment of the ruling Church in that country, which called itself Christian, but behaved in a most uncivilised way on numerous occasions.

I think this amply demonstrates that Almighty God is colorblind. Almighty God can use anyone, and does. One of the interesting lessons taught at that successful Church in Sydney, is that anyone can be tapped on the shoulder by the Almighty. The Almighty does not just worship youth. He called upon Moses when he was eighty years old to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, and slavery. Moses no doubt was wondering why he was picked, and never set foot in the promised land, though he saw it from the top of a mountain.

Every reader of this story should be inspired. Just as the Story of Jesus Christ has fascinated people for over two thousand years,so stories like this inspire people of every race to have hope, and believe that things may get better. I am reminded of the movie The Chattanooga Airmen, a squadron of black American fighter pilots, who were so good, the bomber captains specially requested them as escorts on bombing raids deep into Germany. They flew Mustangs. They were so good, they never lost a bomber to enemy fighters. Racism has no place in a modern progressive society.

I also thought that this story was inspiring. I'm delighted that this man's story has been told.

.............but don' it just go to show, you can do all that, and STILL get a smack in the face from those you helped.
