'Social disorder' on the Tibetan Plateau : Comments

By Brian Hennessy, published 25/2/2009

Do the Chinese really believe a few people could threaten their powerful state? If so, their grip on power is not as tight as we think.

China behaves as all oppressive and totalitarian regimes always have; with wanton brutality and reckless disregard for any Human Rights by its citizens they purport to represent.
Add to this the undeniable racist dimension of the Han Chinese Communist regime and then it becomes clear that this select cabal of felons is fighting for its own survival at all costs.
The Han Chinese CCP has a long history of meticulously conditioning their only ‘reliable’ constituency, the 90% plus Han Chinese population of some 1.2 billion with a pernicious campaign of denigrating all the other minorities, but in particular the Tibetan population.
The methods and occasions employed by this Han regime are too numerous to list here.
Suffice to say that it occurs at every turn, and in every insidious fashion, from re-written history books to the portrayal of events in Tibet to the misinformation about the truth for the reasons for any Yuans spent in Tibet, which are for the sole purpose of extraction of natural resources, military mobility, and the benefit of Han migrants.

This incessant and insidious denigration conditioned the Han population and their ‘security’ forces to view the Tibetans as an inferior and subhuman species, which does not deserve any consideration per se, or civil and humane treatment, and in any case they’re really just an unwelcome nuisance and obstacle in the quest for complete ‘Hanisation’ of the entire occupied territories under the fictitious invention of the “Chinese nation”.
Hitler used the same contemptible tactics in the 30s against the Jews, and the Han Chinese Communists have turned it into a grotesque art-form of some not so subtle, but unremitting and ominous propaganda to justify their barbarous rule and treatment of other minorities.
