Malcolm Turnbull will help to reposition the Liberal Party to where it ought to be and once was - a broad church.

Congratulations Barnsey, you have actually written something of substance rather than your usual extreme left wing waffle.

Unlike our whimp Kevin Rudd,Malcolm Turnbull will never die wondering about what might have been.

It will be interesting if Malcolm Turnbull follows through on the Republic, and equal rights for same sex couples.

Though the Liberal leash dogs I think, will be barking at the leash on these issues!

Keith. Sad news, another one of your beloved has jumped ship; Ellison.

He says " He wants to spend more time with his family", and probably the nice super pension he gets. Is it not time for Pollies to make a better excuse for copping out, than their family.

Heat and kitchen come to mind!!

It seems there are a lot of rumours about Malcolm Turnbull and from the comments posted it seems that people feel under no compulsion to check their facts before declaring somebody an atheist or Christian...a pro abortionist or even that they are into child pornograpy. Give it up guys...above all Malcom Turnbull is a human being and cant be all the abovementioned simultaneosly. If he has Henson "artwork" the public has the right to know. However, Malcolm Turnbull has rights too...esp the right to not be slandered against...even if he is a politician.

Malcolm Turnbull? A pretty ruthless business man who very obviously has in the past & still probably does try to make every post a winner. Educated, intelligent, hardworking, the main object to be a success in whatever he undertakes & he certainly does not take prisoners. He is said to be of the Roman Catholic faith, said to be a convert through marriage. Malcolm Turnbull seems to be a man who will do whatever he thinks is best for Malcolm Turnbull, but is he also an ideologist? I very much doubt it. A pragmatist? Of course. A Liberal in the true English sense of the word where it originated as a Party of social reform, I do not think so. One must ask oneself why would a man with his wealth, attributes, connections, voluntarily engage himself well away from his Sydney domicile, in what is vitually a large country town, to sit day after day in a debating chamber, not really accomplshing anything constructive, if anything, rather the reverse? Why? Is fame the spur? With the possible future prize of the Prime Ministership of the Commonwealth of Australia? Only time will tell.

Malcom is a spiv. He is Peacock from Sydney. He is the spiv who sold FAI to HIH. Skeletons everywhere. His temper and arrogrance will be easily pricked.(how many saw that foot tapping furiously when Laurie Oaks gave him a light touchup on Sunday). Face it Libs, you are in opposition for quite a spell to come.
