Kevin Rudd loves the big stage and the grand gesture.

I do not like very much Kevin Rudd but I can not ignore that

1. He apologized to Aborigines, as he promised, before the elections.
2. He signed the Kyoto Protocol, almost all developed countries signed it except from Bush and Howard, as he promised, before the elections.
3. He brought our soldiers from Iraq as he promised, before the elections.
4. He did the maximum he could do to abolish the NO Workchoice as he promised, before the elections.
5. He asked the Commission to search about the Maternity, Paternity and Parental leave as he promised, before the elections.

About the oil prices this is an international problem, caused partly from USA and unfortunately Howard's government did do anything to promote other kind of energy.
About the "house prices fall, there will be some very angry voters out there " and many happy voters, especially low income or young people.

UNTIL NOW I THINK ALP GOVERNMENT AND KEVIN PERSONALLY HAVE PERFORMED WELL!

I did not read surveys last weeks, but I hope the Liberals have improved their popularity or still they are on the 7%!
Democracy needs strong opposition and the 7% or 10% is very bad.
WITH THEIR POLICY THE 7% IS VERY MUCH!

This pretender to the throne, cannot see his own foibles. How can he successfully lead a nation through these difficult times.

John Howard never indulged in Kevin's mindless adulation of public image that rivals the Hollywood disease.Kevin, the man,is self obsessed.Having a good memory is no substitute for clear logical thinking that is guided by a courageous heart.

Howard never indulged in silly displays, always used direct language, one always understood his meaning and he never used stupid ,meaningless gestures eg the thumb over/under the shoulder. He had far more control over his physical actions.
Mr Rudd's speeches are like listening to flummery, full of cliche and nothing else.

Antonios

If Howard had back flipped on fuel prices like Rudd has you'd be screaming liar at the top of your voice.

The rest of us have seen Rudd's cowardice on oil prices, Cost of Living, environmental issues, the Tasmanian Hospital and the Brisbane Airport 2nd runway.

Oh and Rudd lied when put up the cost of my booze.
