The elderly in aged care services are part of the election too.

Wake up Australia. The country we worked for is now facing a need for administrive reform, so the WRONG PEOPLES DO NOT GET HURT.

Urban populations need Rural populations to be strong. WHAT is going on?

We have the Knowledge, we have the policies, we have the economic sulplus opportunity, but we are at a cross-road with the government.

I pledge we NEED MORE VOICES ON THE GROUND.

I PLEDGE THERE IS A LACK OF COMMUNITY RESOURCE INFRASTRUCTURE EVERYWHERE.

I BELIEVE if we don't address our civic role and stand up for it NOW, we will all end up, NOT in AGED CARE... but in MENTAL HEALTH!

WHY?

Try lack of TRANSPORT-HOUSING-BANKING (the closure of local sevices) and lack of a MICRO-EMPLOYMENT industry. LIMITED ACCESS TO MARKET is a break-down in inter-regional INFRASTRUCTURE.

LOOK AT OUR PUBLIC ASSETS. WHERE IS THE SAFETY NET?

I say rural communities are too SERVICE DRIVEN.

That government has a bed-side mannar RUNNING on CRISIS.

Most communities are divided by a backwater in inter-regional politic's.

We lack the transport infrastruture, the water infrastructure, the rate infrastructure and community health infrastructure. That infrastructure that can help us re-solve our differences and own the task of BUILDING CAPACITY, at local levels.

Why are many of us being forced to move out of TOWN?

Politcal bullying and an agenda based on nullification is costing us our cohesive tolerance to utilise our own skills and accept diverse opinions.

Working together is ever critical.

The causal elements of REGIONAL STRUCTURAL ADMINISTRIVE VIOLENCE requires closer scrunity.

Look at the Seoul.

See the my previous comment responding to the fair arguements placed by Anne Turley and Cath Smith.

I ask you to look at your own life style and compare it to those who are finding it difficult. Listen to the arguements and choose a FAIR AUSTRALIA with your vote.

We get one chance before we face the GREATER NATIONAL PROBLEMS, the problems we will leave for our children, who may not get to have this elections economic resource.

Gerard Mansour is chief executive of Aged and Community Care Victoria, an affiliate of Aged and Community Services Australia (ACSA).
ACSA and its fellow 'peak' body for aged care providers, Aged Care Association Australia (ACAA) have formed an alliance, known as Aged Care Industry Council (ACIC).
ACIC is conducting its largest ever election campaign.
Its backers - through their "membership" of ACSA and ACAA - include pretty much the full gamut of Australia's major banks, property developers, architects, medical software companies and so on.

Mr Mansour's arguments - especially his desire to relieve the elderly of even more of their life savings - should be seen through this prism.

In fact, I'm surprised Opinion Online would import this blatant piece of election lobbying during the campaign.
