By Phil Senior, published 11/7/2007

While the major party contests heat up the prospect of an independent candidate, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, generates the most speculation.

Mitt Romney has emerged as a serious contender for the Republican Nomination. He has a gold plated resume, a great family, and a life time of experience in turning unsuccessful businesses around. I have been reviewing all of the candidates, including Thompson, but I have come to the realization that Romney is what America needs at this time in history, and the American people are begining to realize this.

I think it would be good if someone else could get up, as I utterly dislike Hilary Clinton, but would prefer her to the one-term senator Obama.

I think Barack Obama could be a racist, and plays race politics.

One of the most extraordinary things about this race is that I'm yet to hear any commentator talk about the extreme xenophobia among many blacks in the US.

One after the other, prominent commentators talk about how Obama is 'guaranteed' the black vote, which should send alarm bells ringing.

People shouldn't vote because they have the same colour skin! This is insane tribalism!

It's the same here in Australia, with branch stacking. It seems that non-whites are inherently undemocratic by nature. Perhaps this explains why democracy took root in Europe and nowhere else.

I just think about how much it would be scorned if a candidate was guaranteed the 'white' vote, imagine the cries of racism!

But rightly so if that were to happen.

I hope I haven't offended the leftist establishment by saying this, and am prepared for the cries of 'witch' (or 'warlock' for males - hence the name) from the leftist clergy.

I can hear them all now, I'd better go...

[as the dissenter 'White Warlock' runs off into the night, one can hear the vocal cries of 'hang him!' from the far leftist establishment, represented on OLO by many]

....

[thankfully the 'White Warlock' gets away this time, and although day by day the 'right'eous are beginning to fight back, and even some members of the leftists 'pet' races(because leftists look at non-whites as children), such as Aboriginie Noel Pearson has awoken from one of their spells, and in a recent publication called 'leftist policies' the reason why his community is ruined...]

[little does he know though, he would be labelled a 'racist' if his skin was a touch whiter, say, like the 'White Warlock's...]

[theme music continues as the Warlock survives another day...]

Phil, thanks for the article. Please, keep us posted with your thoughts.

What is that that makes the US Presidential race so interesting? The weirdness of their electoral system or the characters that the race attracts, either way I just keep watching. I didn't know that Bloomberg might be a contender so here's another aspect to add to Al Gore's enigmatic comments. Personally I doubt Romney, a Mormon, would be acceptable but perhaps he can engender some Big Love. I'm betting on a Edwards/Obama ticket for the Dems; as for the GOP, who'd want it? George Jnr has tainted that party for a few elections, me thinks.

maybe we haven't heard the last of al gore. his work for the environment is creating a big group of enthusiastic supporters, most of whom would be glad to see their man in the white house. he's white, smart, experienced, with lots of supporters who could easily be reprogrammed to knock on doors: the only question is does he still want to be president. historically, hardly anyone says "no, thanks".

but he's found a new career which may be sufficiently rewarding, and a lot less demanding. dem candidates are reported to be monitoring his weight: if he goes on a diet, they're worried.

Last time around Bush had help not unlike Australia his opposition ran a fool with no chance against him.
The death wish ,or is it will to not win? still exists in the American Democrats.
Only Al Gore can win for them without much trouble too.
Clinton? no please no in fact why replace Bush with another fool?
The world needs Gore.

White Warlock is completely uninformed about the race for the Democratic nominee for President of the U.S. Obama trails far behind Hilary Clinton among polls among black voters in America. Furthermore, nothing about Obama suggests that he would be racist. In fact, his lack of any semblance of blackness in speech, background or activities tends to hurt him among black voters. His father is from Kenya and his mother is a white American. A brilliant person who graduated from Harvard, he is recognized as the best speaker among all candidates for the Presidency and that he has the vision to lead America forward. Will he be the Democratic candidate for President? No. America is not ready for a non-white President.
