John E. Carey's typically misogynist attack on Plame says much about the damage done to his (Carey's) US Republican causes.
The Wilson-Plame team have done great services for the enemies (Democrats and fair-minded Americans) of the Carey crowd by: - exposing in detail the myth that there was a "slam-dunk" WMD case for Bush launching the invasion of Iraq http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plame_affair#Background, and - through criminalising Libby they have indirectly knocked Cheney (Bush's rightwing toe-cutter). True believers in US military dominance, like Carey, look up to Cheney. Plame is highly intelligent. What is so frustrating for Man to Man Republicans is that she is using her political skills to beat them up. Who cares if she makes money out of it? Bush, Cheney and Rice, who can barely see the world through their oil coated glasses, have made millions invading Iraq. They'll be resuming their oil exec jobs after their fun running America. 'Her life doesn’t look ruined at all. It looks more like she is getting her Andy Warhol 15 minutes of fame. … And enjoying every bit of it.'
And so she should. Success = best revenge. Posted by spendocrat, Wednesday, 21 March 2007 11:18:54 AM

Few assets are as badly wasted as a burned spy. I don't "Plame" her for making as much as she can from this seedy little debacle. Great to know that the US State Department leads the world in this type of treachery.

This is disgusting.
The outing of Valerie Plame is hardly something to be made light of. It is a demonstration of the dirtiest type of politics at the highest levels of the US governmnent. And for we all know, it is the tip of one very big and very dirty iceberg. Posted by Carl, Wednesday, 21 March 2007 8:48:55 PM

Even more hype! That's quite something. Do you suppose "Scooter" is going to get a commission for his unique skills as a publicist?
"Scooter" certainly deserves a cut, if you ask me! And what about Sen Waxman? Is he in for a cut, for making sure Valerie got star exposure on C-Span? How about all those fawning questioners in the Congressional Committee, asking all those Dorothy Dixers? Surely there's enough money to go around the table?
But then, later, you say:
"Donald Trump, Rosie O’Donnell and Anna Nicole Smith have left the scene for now; Brittney is under wraps and Paris Hilton is no where to be found so Valerie has grabbed the spotlight and directed it upon, naturally, herself."
I say she couldn't have done it without "Scooter"!
