yes Peter, poor fella Australia when our so-called intellectuals try reviving a NOBODY who knew nothing much at all and did nothing at all. I think it is more about being FASHIONABLE - always a good cover for a lack of substance.

But, it seems the way of many things nowadays - don't bother us with anything that makes us think or question - just feed us some more drivel, or better still, another US sitcom or Oz soapie. How about more cops & robbers and doctor shows to keep our minds off the issues that really matter, like fascism, economic rationalism, erosion of industrial safety, family values, democracy, justice, equality, our kids future etc etc.

The creeping 'fascism' is our most dire threat. Forget Usama, JI, and the others. The 'Dubblya Brothers' Grim will "up the ante" sooner rather than later, and may your god help us all.

With some degree of luck and good management there may in the near future, be something present itself - a person, entity or organisation who can steer our collective consciences away from the precipice of 'open' warfare.

Do not however fool yourselves into believing the two major parties. Their sole aim is to perpetuate the status quo of division & conquest.

Im not so sure fascism is the problem we face. Sure, there are many people out there who voluntarily take on this role. However, the Auto-Fascism of the past few years is not so bad now i reckon.

The deeper problem is with the omnipotent ACTU. Chivalrous they may be, macho to the point of irrationality certainly, but fascist-freindly they are not. Socialism is the answer my freind. And they openly admitted to the National Press Club 2 days ago that they are now in charge of ALP direction.

And in the bananna republic, a gentleman was beating the drums with the sound of 'A new beast' from the north. Based probly on Hansonism, but yet a faction of resident ALP, the beast wants to claim new ground but will be just like the other, only slippery.

And so we are on the slope.

Thanks Albie, very true I believe.

If people don't believe Fascism is a problem, they have their heads in teh sand - as you said we can trust NEITHER Libs, Nat, ALP - thgey all have their global agenda. Globilisation is about Global domination - not by countries but by Global Enterprises.

Today, the same people who financed Hitler & Musolini are financing Blair, Bush and us. Eightypercent of our Aus currency is owned by Japan, China, Mid-East and the Bankers of Zurich, The Hague and London. Wise old saying - "the borrower is servant to the lender" and that is why credit is so easy to get - once we are hooked, it is awfully hard to get off. When the USA floated its dollar in 1973, make no mistake it was Kissinger's idea and it was to bring the US under European control. Same when Keating floated our dollar 10 yrs later. No wonder they voted him the worlds greatest treasurer!

In a short space of time, our currency fell to half its value and we had to borrow BIG and who knows if we will ever get out of it? Costello can balance the budget each year but what neither he nor the press want to talk about is how our foreign debt continues to escalate.

And our European owners, as a result, can now whistle us up to fight any war they decree (USA even more so), and use our troops to put down any country that might look like upsetting the Eu or the Gnomes of Zurich. It is the same as the old days of the Venetian Bankers.

It is not about when it is going to happen anymore, it IS too late - we are already in their debt. Hence Dubya is the New World Order Sherriff and Howard is his Deputy.

Flezzey;

One of us is confused. You may be right in saying that China, Japan et al underwright our Western economies. But how does this connect to Fascism?

You are correct in saying that the worlds biggest economy is propped up by a Communist and a conservative narcassist power, and also some sand dwellers who are anti-fascist. But did you know that a certain US state has its own GDP that is the biggest of any other nation alone? How do u explain that?

And, if the globalisation/world domination theory is correct, who then is the dominator? I mean really, if you consider populations of nations, GDP's, FTA's, general trade, domestic debt (its voluntary off course) and poverty along with all the other mish mash of 'world domination' you would soon see that no-one is in control; that is our biggest problem, dont you think?
