This story highlights the true nature of people. Note that it was not just the Barzani family, but some others also, set against them.
Tribal, Family, and motivated by the control of resources and power.
Sounds just like the Mafia ? The shade between 'criminal' and 'Politician' is very grey.
With this insightful article, we see exactly how things work in the Middle East, and lets also realize that there is no difference between this story and all the regimes of that region.
It also shows to a degree, the absolute futility of the politically correct in their utopian dream of 'fairness and justice' for all in such places. The only relevance the UN has to these places and powerful families, is to what degree they can be used to fulfill their greed.
No wonder some of these Kurdish political offices were blown up.
Its worth asking also, how the US forces view such goings on ?
It will be interesting to see just how this turns out.
